  1. Nice intro and welcome. Yes!! Another fellow ESB trooper! I’m currently waiting on replacement pieces from the manufacturer. Hopefully the pics I took and submitted will at least get me my TKID then the real fun starts!!! Welcome again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I’m very happy with how it turned out. Also, the advice of using a Phillips screwdriver to pre stake the swage pin... can’t remember where I read it, but friggin genius! Straps are 1” by 5”. Numb 24 snaps. 3 sets per side. 2” on center of the bottom two to adjust them from film to, what’s comfortable. Lol
  3. I did consider something like this method as well. Given several of the pieces supplied by RSP have elastic as directly glued to the plastic, I opted to utilize the elastic strap and some epoxy from JB Weld : ClearWeld.
  4. Today, I have the straps made for the Bicep to Shoulders. I did include 2 different snaps for if I decide to have them a little lower like in the still images, or up tighter while I am trooping. I referenced the posts and threads posted above, and this one also: But I am having a hard time finding the "how" do I connect the male snap to the armor itself. Again.. Straps are female and done. I did see one comment about using PC-7 Epoxy. ? yes? And should I put the male snaps on a 1" by 1" square of material, then adhere that to the armor? I like this idea best for a larger surface and more porous material vs the steel snap.
  5. End of the week update: Pictures taken and submitted to GMLs. Helmet is finished. While I wait, I am working on the E11 to clean it up and give a far more realistic look. I want it to look like worn steel. I am going to cut out and replace the "D" ring in the back with an actual metal "D" ring. I am also going to cut a small pocket out of the battery chamber and add a ammo meter. (I saw this in another post I cant find right now), and I am going to shine the grip and handle areas where a glove would be holding this for a long time. I'd also like to put a plastic lens in the scope area., as well as drill out some of the features that look like a pin should be in there, and replace them with actual pins. While I don't want to go for a worn look, I think the armor should shine, and the most used item should reflect some ware.
  6. Thanks! No wonder I couldn’t find it.. I’m not authorized yet.... YET
  7. Yep. That’s is my plan. The hot glue and nylon straps are to ensure I get the length right.
  8. Perhaps a lil off topic, but ya know what would be badass?.... a TK trooper action figure that you can order your own TK number. I’d pay whatever the custom cost.
  9. Gotcha. The forearm and biceps are already attached pre done at RSPropmasters. So the picture with the bicep inserted in the bell of the shoulder, I think I have an idea about connecting them. I’m gonna lay it out tonight, and hot glue in the nylon traps tomorrow to see how I like it. Once I get it right, I’ll fit the snaps and connect it properly.
  10. That’s a tough decision. In the end, I chose what was faster regardless of the cost. I admit I got lucky with the fastest and cost and quality with RS. Let us know what you pick!
  11. Ok cool. Ty Glenn. My plan is to use simple nylon straps with snap buttons glued to the insides of the armor pieces. Just to keep them aligned, do you think I can connect them on the outside of the arm? Yanno to help with rotation.
  12. I’ve heard this too. Hence why I mentioned ESB in my OP. I’m thinking, unless I’m violating something for the eventual Centurión build, I’d like to attach mine. To be blunt... my biceps aren’t weight lifter worthy... and no... Um.... “definition” to keep them up. Lol Any thoughts if me adding some would render them unacceptable for centurion?
  13. Doing the ESB build. My bicep and shoulder pieces are not connected. I am noticing the biceps slide down some during normal movements. I saw a video on youtube, (not a tutorial for what I was looking for), and the trooper has the same RSP armor I have. I saw in the video hes attached the bicep and shoulder with a small strap. Are there any tutorials or instructions on doing this? Sorry if this is an old question, a link to other threads would be nice too. I wasnt able to find one in the search.
  14. I did! and thank you for the pictures and your post that gave me the direction. I did have to move the battery pack for the fans a little bit, to help balance out the weight, so it wouldnt sit crooked on my head.
  15. Hello All, here's an update. Helmet is 99% complete. First and foremost, mad props to @MaskedVengeance @gmrhodes13 and @ukswrath Please check this link for details as it was my reference. : So I bought the Truck Bed liner and got a little messy today. I started this with taking out the hardware, the "S" seal, and straps. Note: the flimsy green film is a Bi$@& to work with. I officially hate it. OH!!! before I go any further... PLEASE please please #PLEASE note which side the "S" seal is clipped to the helmet. I didn't. Learn from my mistake. The open end at my thumb is the side you need. NOT the other side. LOL Next: I took the brass bolts and cut them down. I made special note to ensure I cut them 4 threads over the stack height of the nut, washer, plastic etc. Then I VERY lightly sanded them down to create a nice radius to let the nut go back on. Pro Tip, BEFORE you cut, put the nut ON, and run it down to the head of the bolt. After you cut, you can remove the nut. It'll likely get tough at the end, but that will just align the last thread and ensure when you sand it, you're not sanding it in a > Pitch. Trust me. With all the hardware out, I taped off the inside, including the teeth, and then taped a garbage bag to the outside, to ensure I do not get any over spray. BESURE YOU TAPE OFF YOUR TAG OR AUTHENTICITY LABEL!!! Spray, and let dry... two coats should do it. Be LIIIIIIGHT on the spray. Don't want it to run or drip. Here's a quick video of how the liner looks. https://i.imgur.com/8ATZzvZ.mp4 Once its all dry, lets start re-assembling. Remove the tape: Cut and hot glue in the terrible to work with green flimsy film, and glue in the screen @MaskedVengeance sent me. Add the padding (purchased separately) Insert the super awesome, seriously why WOULDN'T you get this... iCOMM voice changer, and fan assembly, from @ukswrath and the seal is replaced. Tomorrow, I will drill the holes for the speakers, and bolt them in. Just ran out of time today. Nonetheless, It was a great day, and this build is coming along. PS: with padding Helmet fits perfectly!
  16. I trust you’ll be honored and not offended but I’m intending to copy your helmet insides. I like that look. I bought a can of truck bed spray on liner, MaskedVengeance supplied me with some screen, I have UKSWRATH’s fans and audio iComm, new Jovi tips, and I need to (apparently) fuel down the green film for the eyes. One other question. Is shortening the bolts a bad thing? I sincerely do not like the extra length. As a ME, it’s bothering me to not have it be to spec of a bolt seat dimension. 17. Perfect. Ty Glenn. Then I’m gonna be painting the inside and mounting all the hardware tomorrow. Excited Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Quick question... will any of these mods invalidate my TK approval or the Centurion requirements? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I’m a believer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Shawn, And anyone still deciding on a manufacturer for buying a suit... I sent RSP more detailed pics, plus resent the original measurements on Friday. I knew the 8hr time difference would mean they wouldn’t see the email till today. In my inbox this morning, a sincere apology, an address to ship these pieces, and confirmation of the dimensions to make new ones immediately. I did expect to get a little pushback, but was hopeful they would make it right vs me cutting them. And I wasn’t disappointed... no pushback. Very professional and I am ok with the mistake. It happens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks Glenn I appreciate the feedback from you n all, honestly. I know it’s not exactly right, so I’m gonna work on it this weekend once I have some time to focus. I was too excited to suit up I didn’t even notice the gun on the wrong side. Lol!!! I was totally focusing on those drop boxes and seams tho Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. That’s a great point. I know “adding plastic” is nearly impossible vs removing some.” You know the thought did occur to me to just gain weight. My GF quickly shut that down. I am wanting to see what RSP is going to do about the 3” mistake. After all. What if I incorrectly paid them by 13%? They would want their money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks guys. I did contact RSP about the 3” Miss on the dimensions I sent them. I’m awaiting a reply. 1” I can understand. But a 13% Miss in the dimension is excessive. Especially for the cost. And now I’m VERY nervous about cutting this armor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
