  1. I have to disappoint you, this myth has been busted a long, long time ago. I know my English is somewhat limited, but the process you are describing is NOT resculpting. It a called modifiying. If you get a (clay) sculpt you may need to cut it up in order to cast/vac form, etc it. Imagine you're a sculptor and make a scale model of a Scale car. Then it get's shipped to the factory where it is broken up into parts in order to make a kit out of it. Some minor changes are made. But those poor guy in the chinese factory IS NOT a re-sculptor. He is a hired WORKER. Nothing more
  2. And you see that by looking at a pic of a pile of white formed plastic? Sorry, I don't get. This pic only proves he vac formed them. Where is he seen in the act of resculpting?
  3. Yes, he was hired as a vac former, and he used molds/tools GIVEN TO HIM by LFL. So?
  4. There! You found it! Mind sharing some?
  5. Thanks Matt for compiling this court stuff
  6. Then why does his has all the details an TE helmet has, but there's NO detail at all found on an RS helmet?
  7. Another fight over AA! We hadn't one in a while. Where's the popcorn? Edit: What Luis said
  8. No harm done! I, too, believed AA's stories. I learned better here. Don't stop asking questions; we are all here to help!
  9. It's a nice video about vac forming. AA knows his job. BUT he is not the original creator and what you are seeing a bad recast mold, far way from an original helmet/armor
  10. Then, why do it in the first place?
  11. According to Gino,it was I was laughed at 2 years ago, when I want to make black latex t-tracks
  12. NOT the plastic T-track used on the sabers?
  13. I rather like plastic glues (weld) because they're thicker in conistence and more controlable. But for larger areas acetone is better and cheaper.
  14. I can. I think I read somewhere that AA is building "his" armors with acetone, too
  15. Nice! Does the RS come with flexible hand guards?
  16. Are these the ones you have to paint or are they already white? If the latter, I'm afraid you have to use the activator pen....
  17. You're right! The primer pen is special. You can use it with every other type of super glue. For latex hand guards, you can skip the primer, which is only necessary for the white rubber ones Karin
  18. It's best to build the suit yourself, as it has to be fitted to the wearer You can modify am TM after it has been build to fit you as it has enough play, but it is almost the same work as build one from kit
  19. As Rob suggests. But: AVOID that armor: Recast, fiber glass, old FX, far too expensive.! 4 times BAD.
  20. yes, it does. But it dissolves white plastic aswell.
  21. Oven cleaner. Look here:-------------
  22. Glad to hear that! :) They didn't tell any details, as it has just happened when I heard it. We do not have earth quakes in Austria, just a little "shaking" around 1 or 2 on the scale every other decade, so I always think real BAD about quakes
  23. Just heard it on the news - I hope it wasn't to severe. All my thoughts to the Mexican troopers, esp Juan. Karin
  24. Paul and Paul, I agree with you both totally Oh, Paul you forgot flexible latex neck seals... gotta get off my ....you know what
  25. Jesse, great weathering on these!
