  1. Tried to put on the D-ring today, drilled with a dremel, bent the ring open and when trying to force it into the holes, broke the holes. Fortunatly found all the pieces and glued them back on with E6000. Will probably paint tomorrow.
  2. Well, I also really need to thank everyone who helped me, I couldn't do this on my own and this forum has been a real blessing for me! I would like to thank you, Joseph for all your help and tips, but also those sweet handguards! I would also like to thank Dave @Helotech for helping starting this build and showing how he did his. He also sent me some of his spare parts! Thank yous to both Glen @gmrhodes13 and Mario @TKSpartan for all their help as well showing how it's done! And last, but not least, Daniel @TheSwede for sending me some parts and approving my build! If I missed someone, do know you have my gratitude. Now a review of the build. I curse myself for not researching before buying this armour, but it worked out in the end. There where many ups and downs in how it went and I do not think this build was made easier being a re-build. I often wished I had just ordered a kit, it would have made this whole thing much easier (and I think cheaper too). However despite all this, it worked out in the end and I can call myself an Imperial Stormtrooper! Typical this virus thing happened now, so my first troop will probably be in a while. EI coming soon!
  3. Finally done! https://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=32349 Now I'm in the 501st!
  4. I think it's dressing issues, both of them, it can be hard to see how everything looks when you've got the stuff on and family have a hard time seeing that too.
  5. I think I fixed it, it is atleast better now: Yep, I didn't close it enough I took this chance to fix something else too, the SDS grey are not the same as the other greys. It was darker so I repainted it all, hopefully this is better.
  6. I can unfortunatly not do that, the clips and screws are actualy glued on as my first holes were way too big and don't have any more material to fix it. I fear the glue would go up as I would try to curve it a bit more. Thanks though.
  7. Name: Jonas Andersson Future garrison: Nordic Garrison Armor maker: SDS (Modded) Helmet maker: SDS (Modded) Cloth belt maker: Imperial Issue Neck seal maker: SDS? Boot maker: SDS? Blaster maker: SDS TK type: ANH Hero Troopers helping me with this build: @Helotech @justjoseph63 @gmrhodes13 @TheSwede @TKSpartan @CableGuy I realized after taking these pictures that I needed to reglue some things. I will however start with these until tomorrow, when the glue has dried. Soft handguards: TD: Strapping: As said, I will take some more pictures tomorrow, when the glue has dried.
  8. There had to be something... No approval photos today, glue went up at the shoulders for the right side: Hopefully tomorrow then.
  9. Last things! Finished padding the helmet and adding @ukswrath fan system, I think it came out pretty nice: Also put on some velcro tabs on the boots, for attaching to the shins: My pre-approval thread will come soon, will post when it's up
  10. I guess for this build it's just putting on the d-ring, I will probably get a better one some other time. This blaster is just for basic clearance.
  11. Got my sugru today, stuck the visor on: Tomorrow is maybe the last day for this build!
  12. So with my armour now coming to a close, I remembered the E-11 I got with the pack from SDS. This is far less important than the armour but I still would like it to be acceptable. And since I have spent most of my money on the armour by now, I can't afford to do much with it. Anyway, here are some pictures of the blaster: Both the hengstler counter and scope have stickers Literary everything on this is plastic, so nothing fancy here. I've got a D-ring from trooperbay and that is what I pretty much know of adding to it for now However, I don't really know how I should put it on, that is somewhere is I need help with (Sorry for any blurry pictures, my hands are a little shaky)
  13. I have padded the arms and legs today, sugru should be arriving tomorrow and after that I'm padding the helmet. VERY little left!
  14. Is E6000 good for gluing plastic foam to plastic? I planning on padding up the armour soon. Also, should I maybe velcro the visor on, so it's removable?
  15. That's a relief really, thank you for your info. While I could look into it and maybe tinker with it, I have neither the energy or experience. Maybe if I build a stunt some other time? This is one of the times I just wished I had bought a kit and not a commision from someone else than SDS. There has been so many modifications and resizings that I believe it would have been easier to just have started from the beginning myself. Almost done though, hoping to atleast get it to EI!
  16. Here you go , I was just adding the frown mesh so don't mind the magnets
  17. I think I did that, otherwise please point out where I should push or pull Skickat från min H60-L04 via Tapatalk
  18. Mics painted: NOW I guess I'm done with painting the helmet! Full helmet: Next up, installing frown mesh and visor. Is E6000 a good tool for that?
  19. OK, so I also had a bit of white to paint: Screws on ears: Rivets on thigh ammo pack: And rivets on thigh ammo pack: Now a question: The hovi mic tips from SDS have white inside but not on the most upper rim, should I paint that?
