  1. Hello, Dave! Thank you for your help and the kind words! There is no problem waiting, it will come when it comes, you take care of yourself and your family first and foremost. Thanks again!
  2. Here you go! @justjoseph63 I will certainly make those changes that you mentioned! Thank you!
  3. So, today I finally finshed the biceps! I guess the arms are done now? Left bicep: And right bicep: It fits pretty well with the forearms! I guess I need some padding though. Anyway I have some questions: 1. Does cut up car sponges work as padding? 2. As I have started moving to the legs, I have removed the sniper knee plate. Do I need to cut it? It feels a little big for the top of the shin when not screwed on Maybe I should take away a bit of the bottom return edge of the plate? It's not so much room for glueing Should I maybe take away some of the covering strip at the top? 3. I have removed some coverstrip on the right thigh for and making it ready for the new ATA ammo belt The question is, how should I cut it? Thats all for today!
  4. So, I got my package from ATA today, took a while. In it contains new ears and a thigh ammo belt. I might need to order new ab buttons as it was revealed to me through Josephs new CRL guide that I would need to change them. All in due time.
  5. Almost done with the biceps! Go figure I didn't realise scissors were that much faster... Left one after trimming: I fixed the upper corners after taking these pictures And both, glueing on the covering strips: Hopefully I will get my package from ATA soon... I swear the postal services is out after me...
  6. So... Progress? I have started with the biceps and taken them apart, the stuff that they used as glue might be stronger than the plastic itself! Tips on how to assemble them? Should I do same as with the forearms? Also here is how they came out: Left And right I also rounded out the edges of the covering strips
  7. Update: I haven't had much time so far working with the armor, my brothers' birthday party is now on sunday. (And jedi fallen order released, it has some nice troopers!) Atleast the forearms are done (may need padding since I have pretty thin arms.)
  8. @Helotech Dave, I have taken care of everything that you mentioned, it's actually just the stuff we have talked about that's missing i.e leather strips, aluminum strips e.t.c. I have ordered everything else and I have no problem finding velcro, thanks!
  9. Soon are the forearms complete, did the right one today Now I have glued on the first two covering strips for both arms Left: And right: Also my cloth belt finally arrived! Soon I can start with it!
  10. Today I trimmed the edges of the forearm as by Josephs advice. Came out pretty nice I think. Then I took away the pesky returning edge by the wrists I think the left forearm is finally finished cutting! I have started with the other arm, that overlap is a PAIN to take off. (Thanks, by the way Dave with giving me instructions.) That will have to do it today, I have a free day tomorrow so I will hopefully make some more progress!
  11. First day of cutting! Left forearm is pretty done I think? Well... except the ruturn edge at the wrist. It's 15 mm between the marked return edges. How does it look? Acceptable? By the way, this is my workstation: A bit cramped, but it is sufficient.
  12. Update: I have removed all excess glue residue and washed the pieces afterwards Have also bought a dremel, brushes and more knifes.
  13. Dave, you have been a very good support and you shouldn't rush with the package, take the time you need. Just offering the info on what you did to your armor is enough as it is. That you offer to send parts is going above and beyond! I am truly grateful!
  14. Does anyone know the best way to make covering strips?
  15. That's a good way of doing it Dave! Update, the remainder of my packages should be here soon, trouble at the post offices i believe. Will hopefully start cutting and sizing by the weekend.
  16. Finally done with that! How big should the covering strips be as SDS only does overlap on everything except the front of the leg pieces?
  17. I seem to have learned a lesson: WEAR GLOVES! I won't be doing anymore today...
