1. Awesome! Yup, just a bit of foam behind the shin to push the sniper plate out, or some foam in the back of the thigh to bring it back, and TA-DA! You're golden. Looking like a million bucks.
  2. Oh man! You can't be more than a month away from finishing. Hurry up already!
  3. Looking good Jim. That's a good bit of progress there. You should be ready to get out trooping soon. Looking forward to it.
  4. Awesome! Looking good Jim. In case you haven't seen it before, here's a link on making the bicep hook: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/tutorials/article/37-howto-create-a-bicep-strap-hook/
  5. Looking good. I can see now that there are a couple RT-Mod builds that have been pinned. Those things are gold.
  6. Wooohooo!

Let the build begin!!!

This is going to be a sweet kit.
  7. That looks like a million bucks Jim! Good seeing you out at the little show in Pickering this weekend. Hope the rest of your kit shows up soon, as I'm sure you must be getting a bit squirrelly by now.

8. Does anybody know what the difference between an Aker and a regular speaker you might hook up to your phone for music might be? Could I not just use a regular speaker instead of an Aker with my mic, and phone? If so what features might this speaker need? I've already attempted this and got tons of squealing feedback, but not being a sound guy I'm not sure where I'm going wrong.

Any input welcome, thanks.
  9. Cool. I thought that was Adam Baldwin. I'm watching The Last Ship right now. Good series.
That picture of Vader hugging the little one is beautiful. Good work.
You also have a very charismatic looking mug. You should have asked Adam Baldwin for his agents number. Although, for all I know you could have the acting ability of Mark Hamill.
  10. Just a suggestion based on what I came up with for my glove solutions. When the time comes I will glue the flexible painted hand guards to the rubber chemical gloves for Centurian. I will use those for the events where we want the best accuracy, and only when they will be worn for short periods.
For most of the time, I got some Gorilla Gloves from Home Depot. Stuck some cardboard in them and scrubbed the logo off with some nail polish remover. The cardboard stretches out the material where the logo is making it come off easier, and also prevents the nail polish remover from soaking through to the other side where the rubberized material is. Which could potentially damage it as well. Wait for the nail polish remover to evaporate before removing the cardboard.
I then just make some cloth elastic loops and attach those to the regular ABS hand plates. The Gorrila Gloves breath more resulting in less swamp hand. They also, just fit better. I also prefer the consistency in appearance of the ABS over the flexible hand plates.
Good luck!
  11. E6000 and lots of patience. Take your time. You'll get there. E6000 is very forgiving, and makes great boogers.
  12. Those screws should be fine. Slotted pan head style are probably preferred but if you can countersink them flat enough, only you will know. They're black too, so that's probably the main thing.

Also, Mrs. Pewpewpew wants to know where your wife got her TK sweater, lol.
  13. Another awesome troop update.
I hope that turtle picture made its way to your fridge.
  14. Thanks Raz & Luc, and well, everybody that got me this far. I've been so busy trying to get things approved in time for Toronto Fan Expo and keep up at work, that I haven't had time to post pics and write a decent build thread update. I should be able to take some time to do it this long weekend.

Got to say it was pretty awesome looking at myself when done. Still lots of tweaking to do though.
  15. I'm happy to have both. As for the TK status... ...well, I've been so busy trying to acquire it, and keep up with work and life, I haven't had time to properly update my build thread. It's been kind of a rush to get things sorted in time to participate at the Toronto Fan Expo here. Thanks for noticing though, lol. I will try to get a decent update posted soon.
  16. Great pics! Does your girlfriend know you're out there smooching random ladies in buckets?

    Swag Toss

Look what showed up today! It's a very nice coin, that I am both grateful, and honored to have. The cat ain't so bad either. Thanks TK4205!
  19. E6000 is very forgiving, and cleans up well. Stick with E6000 and you will have an endless number of do-overs. Start with glueing the biceps. They're small and a good first object for experimenting with glue. You can do it!
  20. Welcome back!
You can do this! If you ever need motivation and inspiration I have found that the Field Training Exercises forum section is pretty good for this: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/13-field-training-exercises/
As for trimming your helmet, I would sand a little closer to the pencil lines you made for the eyes and for the teeth, you can check here for some references: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16270-anh-frown-reference-pix/
  21. I recommend you lengthen your shoulder straps to allow your back plate to hang lower and cover that gap. You'll probably also want to make some bicep clips to attach them to the shoulder straps. What kit is this?
  22. Easily best dressed. They never stood a chance.
