1. Thanks Cricket! i didn't even see that in his thread. Its funny how you can sift through forum after forum and miss the things you need! Ill glue though together tonight when i get home from work.
2. So i finally have some progress to show. I realize i'm just not good at keeping up with pictures as i get deep into a project. I finally was able to put everything on together and test fit some it. I know the thighs are hanging to low(I still need to make the belt and strap them up) the rivets on the Knee pack still need to be painted. I am also curious how people connect the forearm to the bicep. is it inside the elbow or outside the elbow? and just standard 1 inch elastic? I wanted to get these out so i can get some critique of what may need to be adjusted or could be done better. Thanks in advance! Mike
3. based on images and what i have done(I am by no means an expert) but i think the brow needs to come down a little at the center point, and then also the teeth corners need to be more of a square profile- a small square file did the trick on mine quickly. Mike
4. and also never heat any of the plastics in a oven that you will continue to use for food after. the heat needed to melt can release a lot of toxins into what ever you are using!!
5. finally have some new pics to post. hard to keep up with posting with everything else going on in the summer! got the entire torso pretty much done and working into the arms now.
6. Congrats on EIB! I feel like I'm getting close on mine.. hoping to finish before mid august! Mike
7. As i am fairly ADD when it comes to projects... I got to work on my belt, shoulder bells and kidney to AB connection. I went with a tab system to lock the kidney in place- I got the torso just about done and put everything on and had way to much of a gap at my back on the top of the kidney plate..So now i have to pull all the rivets and move the snap plates for the clam shell connection. My GF and I had thought we measured it all out correctly but I guess not.. At least its about 13MM on each side so i will take the edge off just past the rivet holes
8. Def still have to do that! Gotta drill out for the hearing assist still then ill paint.. Just trying to decide what bar to paint.
And Ty! Eventually it will be an entire battle sleeve!
9. I finally got my bucket(minus electronics) completed this week. even added a velcrod in hard hat liner for some stability. Worked on the ab rivets and cod snaps and rivet. Placed some snaps on the ab and butt plates. Im hoping to get the entire body section completed in the next week or so. Im having a hard time deciding if i want to just do the standard elastic connection with the rivets or do a sheet of rubber with elastic as well in case the rubber rips. Mike
10. I believe from some of the research I did from a few fan setup forums that those fans just need 1.5 amps to kick em on and then they do drop to lower amp usage. The holder for the amp is a cool idea!
11. Just got back from camping and was catching up on your thread.. be careful with that Anker lipstick pack. its only 1amp output. I bought them and it doesnt have enough power to kick the 5v squirrel fans I have on. The Ankers also have a minimum draw in order for it to stay on, Just in testing to run my hearing assist board i had to put a Y in the USB and have a USB stick plugged in as well. I ended up going with this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0194WDVHI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Still has the minimum draw but will kick the fans on due to the higher Amp output(up to 2.4Amps) Mike
12. Ty! I ended up going with the ap stickers for now I may go back and paint later. Depends on how I feel about it when everything is done!
13. Thanks! Yeah that really really helped.. Just took a little bit of adjustment on the bucket side to get everything to sit smoothly.
14. there are no words for those boxes!!
15. Finally moved along and got some work done on the bucket. My kiddo is out of school so he wants to do projects too(currently building the Destiny hunters knife from punished props designs) Got all the paint and decals on but the tube stripes, ears and hovis mounted. Been comparing to a lot of the centurion builds. Anyone see anything that may need fixing or adjustment. Didn't think it would be that hard just to get the ears aligned with the 2 halves of the bucket!! Thanks!! Mike
16. That looks really good! I've been wondering exactly how to make the bracket. one idea to use instead of the gaffer tape would be to drill a small hole(you could even use a small file to make it the exact size rectangle) on each side of there the wire needs to sit and use a small size zip tie through them with the zip on the wire side of the battery.. a little cleaner but a bit more permanent. Mike
17. I got the frown and eyes cut out.. Wondering if i need to remove more on the openings of the frown or not? i still need to file out more on the eyes thanks, Mike
18. got my abs back and cods are rough trimmed, Just waiting till i can smooth the edges on the sander. I also recieved my order from trooper bay today as for the tattoos.. here is a tease! I'm working on a full sleeve..
19. This is quoted from another forum- Marcel Sorry mate, I didn't mean to stir things up, it was just an observation I'm only going by what I've seen on screen used suits and to me the one in your photo looked a wee bit long, didn't know it was an SDS but I think AA might of miscalculated it a little bit I think you can work it out roughly by taking the proportions / dimentions that you know to be a constant. So if you look at the screen shot of the back of the stoormtrooper we can safely say that the rectangular section that follows through from the kidney plate to the butt is a known measurement, so from that you can work out as near as possible what the TD size should roughly be. Mate, if you're happy with it then leave it, you don't have to create more work for yourself but if you want it more screen accurate then its break out the Dremmel I'm afraid Hope this as helped in some way
20. I have them down at about 15/16 to 7/8 of an inch. I was using a image that Bill Hag had posted.
21. ok hopefully these pics work! Thermal det in all its glory! Apparently photo bucket doesnt like to copy image URLS on my cell phone all to much..
22. I think I have the thermal detonator completed.. It measures at exactly 7.5 inches
Based on a few builds I was looking at and the originals image it looks to be good

Having trouble uploading the pics.. I'll get em in the morning..
