  1. Hey fellow troopers, I am trying to get my ANH Stunt TK built on my own, and I have a question about suspenders to hold up the torso.... How do you go about attaching the suspenders to the armor? The suspenders I am looking at, at Tractor Supply, have large clips to attach to regular pants. But I imaging it would take something a little more permanent to attach them to the inside of my torso armor. These are the ones I am interested in... https://www.tractorsupply.com/.../ce-schmidt-utility...
  2. There is a Loc-Tite version if this glue system, available at Home Depot, etc...... https://www.homedepot.com/p/Loctite-Plastics-Bonding-System-2g-Super-Glue-681925/100371829
  3. I finally got my armor this time last year, and I am just about ready to take pictures for approval. I have had to replace a few pieces of armor, and I traded my finished bucket to a friend in the 501st for an unfinished one. I have been taking my time, and making sure that everything is as good as I can get it. So, don't ever stress over how fast you can get your armor to the point where you are happy with it. 4. I used Tamiya white surface primer, and then Tamiya gloss white. I let each layer of paint cure for forty-eight hours. It became a great hard-as-nails white cover for both the ab rivets and the helmet screws. Sent from my SM-T217T using Tapatalk
  5. I have seen where others have used similar metallic paints on their blasters, and had great results. Just be sure to put a good dark primer down first. Sent from my SM-T217T using Tapatalk
  6. Marcus, when will you have these for sale? You last posted almost two months ago, and I don't see any other postings. If you aren't going to sell the finished product, then at least please allow those of us across the pond the .stl files, so we can print our own.
  7. I too would be interested in getting the stl file for 3D printing a set for myself. I have great outside pieces, but the innards didn't come with them.
  8. Christine, how well does your throat mic work? I am asking, because I would like to get the same one next month.

  11. I have seen where some folks have taken wet newspapers and lightly wiped them onto their armor to replicate the on screen look of the dirty edges and such on the stormtroopers on the ships and the Death Star. That would be about the extent of weathering to do, unless you are wanting to do a sandy or HWT.
  12. The notch is out of frame in the picture. What we are seeing is the top part of Jorge's connection flap for the right side of the kidney plate. Go back further in his initial build, and you will see what it is. His build has already been approved, but he was posting information about his changes for a double snap connection to prevent armor falling apart during .troops Sent from my SM-T217T using Tapatalk
  13. I haven't heard anything about them ceasing production of the great replica weapons. However, I do know that their E-11 also comes from a new mold that started with the new elites early last year. As far as I know, the B-grade replicas should be from the pulls of this mold. I will know a little more when I get my B-grade in a week or so. Sent from my SM-T217T using Tapatalk
  14. Jorge, I didn't notice that this was your build. I am sure that you have already done so, and I just couldn't see it in that recent picture of the new double snaps that you installed. Please ignore my comment. Sent from my SM-T217T using Tapatalk
  15. Be sure to trim that divot on the kidney plate bottom edge. you can leave a small bit of return edge, but the actual divot is supposed to be gone, Sent from my SM-T217T using Tapatalk
  16. I actually found a broken off link of chain at Home Depot, sitting on the floor under the chain display area. And yes, it is perfect size and all.
  17. I paid for my B-grade on Wednesday, and cannot wait to get it. I am going to follow this topic, to see how you deal with some of the issues that you pointed out. I am already going to replace the muzzle and forward sight with some nice 3D printed pieces, along with a set of the correct knurling bolts for the muzzle and bottom of the hand-grip. Being a long time model builder, I am thinking that I want to repaint the entire blaster, and weather it my way. This will give it an even better individuality when trooping.
  18. Thanks Tony! I just wanted to be sure that my thinking was correct on this issue, before I put moto-tool to plastic.
  19. Brothers and Sisters, I had to replace my right thigh with one from TK Armor, rather than AP, since I couldn't get him to respond to me emails or messages. The issue that I am having is that the new right thigh is exactly 1" taller than the left one on the front side. The back sides are equal in length. So, should I just cut down the right thigh to the same length, while maintaining the shape of the curves and such?
  20. No, I was simply commenting on your last post that said.... I am concerned I'm trying to be too perfect on teeth and such and afraid to do any more. I don't want to cut too much off. So, I was just trying to point you in the right direction, so that you didn't get the cutting wrong.
  21. Richard, I would use the photo references available in the galleries at the top of the page. The look and cut of the frown is dependent on whether you are doing a hero or stunt TK.
