Jimmiraquois First Order Stormtrooper Build
Tiedoll replied to steamboatphan's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
After itch-sanding, do you cut, then apoxie, primer, then sand again? I have bondo from my clone but I'm not sure when to apply it, if at all as apposed to apoxie. At this point I've only done initial sanding and have found a few cracked parts and some surface imperfections. The cracks have been handled with Super Gorilla Glue for now. Is it just a preference or does your f-11 not fit with Jim's holster? A blaster is last on my list now and I want to make sure I don't have to pry this holster out later. ✌️ -
Treat those hand plates like they're made of glass. I almost broke them a few days back testing them with just my grip.

It's a fiber glass and resin mixture with a rubber quality to it. As such e6000 doesn't work as well as CA glue and epoxy to repair cracked pieces of the kit. -

Greyfox started the same post under Hard Armor. Codes are being traded for free there as long as you post your code you get after your purchase. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Does anybody have an anovos discount code?

Holy cow Even with the 10% discount on the Anovos website, it was far cheaper buying from ThinkGeek. I think the tax rate in Cali is finally dawning on me. -
Rest in Peace Jennifer Riddle, TK-9496 (jnnfr72)

May her soul be at peace. Jen Riddle was a joy to talk to on the forums. She has been nothing but kind and helpful to purchase from. I wish her family ease during their time of mourning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Would you be posting a build for Jim's version 3 kit? The hours spent sanding and bondoing the older kits looks really time consuming/intimidating and I would like to know how much elbow grease the new kit really needs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey if Max is fine with it then by all means argue about Anovos. Just know there's a stickied thread about how to make the Anovos armor accurate to the screen. So that's saying something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As someone who's never used snaps before, I don't have any of the tools to assemble them for my armor set coming in late April. Should I buy their------- It says it comes with 20 assorted Line 24 snaps, a setter, and an anvil. I'm just wondering how this is different from getting a 10 pk of Line 24 snaps since they cost the same. Thanks!

Hand Made First Order TK

The Philippines member you're talking about sells 1 set for about $880+ without shipping which would run over $100 if shipping out of the Philippines. Waiting list is over 100 people at the moment with about 30 people per month on a run. A set of 10 might run you over $9500~ish with months of wait time and weeks of assembly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

E6000 initially Zap a Gap & Zip Kicker if you want the bond a bit more permanent. I've got some shims on my thighs that might prove unstable with E6000 down the line so I'm leaning towards filling up some of those seams with ABS sludge and sanding it down to form a seamless bond. From what I've heard, return edges are a luxury aesthetic for those who can deal with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Updates on the blaster. So it seems the citrustrip might've eaten at some of the detail. The scuffed looking sections were peeled using the stripper and are no longer tacky. As you can see, removing the paint revealed porous looking sections of the blaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I thought there was supposed to be a distinct right and left to the shins. Then again I don't have NE armor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I believe there was a post on these forums about trying to fix the shape of shins by submerging it in a bucket of boiling water to soften it up, while it is tied closed. At least that's what I got from the pictures. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
