  1. can you send me the link to your thread on building TD clips? I am going to try and build some for a friend.
  2. So is this something I could change with my ANH Stunt and still be cannon? Sent from my LM-V450 using Tapatalk
  3. I decided to make a video showing how I pack my TK for a troop. Hope this is of some help to others! ---------- Sent from my LM-V450 using Tapatalk
  4. So I've been helping a friend build his anovos armor. It is complete but seems a little small and snug on him he is a big guy. Good news is the whole kit was put together with e6000 and can easily be taken apart. He is interested in possibly selling it and moving up to a larger am kit my question is what is a good listing price for a finished anovos kit? He's certainly not trying to price gouge or make a profit off of this but he would like to cover enough to buy an AM kit any thoughts or suggestions? Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
  5. I posted in the FS area of the forum but I am letting go of my pack. Gotta make room for some other things.....so if you need one, go check it out. It's a good start. Needs some work, but overall a decent pack. Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
  6. Any build thread by UKswrath or Navajobro is great!! They make it very easy to follow Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
  7. Thank you! Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
  8. As far as placement of the snaps, I am attaching some photos that might be of some help. Also, I HIGHLY recommend doubling up on the snaps because one will pop off from time to time. I even double up especially on the thigh snaps. Learned that the hard way when a thigh came unsnapped during a parade ...[emoji19] Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
  9. Im sure this has been asked before but with Celebration coming up in April, I am considering flying and trying to think of the best way to get my armor there without shipping my Husky tote. I have heard of some packing the armor in a large hard shell suitcase then taking the helmet as a carry on. Any thoughts??
  10. Anyone know if there is a template out there to make your own pouches? I have plenty of leather like material to make some with.
  11. Got lots of things left to do still. But I'm at the point where parts are starting to look like a HWT pack! Thanks to everyones amazing tips and build threads! ---------
  12. The freezer trick worked!!!! Had it in the freezer all day, used a knife and it popped right off! Here is a pic of them next to my armor. Now for the shoulders. Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
  13. So this guy CA glued the shoulder bridges on before trimming. He also did the same with the ab plate buttons. UGH! So is it worth it to try and remove them or just say to hell with it and keep it as is and move on to other problems I CAN fix? Will this effect his basic approval? Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
  14. Ok guys so everyone has been so helpful when I was building my TK a couple of years ago I am coming to you guys again for advice. I met a local guy who has a kit that was built for him by a friend. (Looks like an AM kit) However this friend threw the kit together in 3 days!!!! ....and he did it using HOT GLUE and CA GLUE!!! To make matters worse he did not follow the CRL or any build threads and simply overlapped the pieces. Now this guy has commissioned me to "fix it" and help get his armor 501st approved. I am having some difficulty getting some of the hot glue off but I think I can do it. The CA glue however is a different story. I have already broke part of the armor trying to separate one of the shins. Good news is that I was able to fix it and the break is under the now new cover strip so you don't see it. I really want to help this guy and to be honest the challenge is a bit fun. Is there a trick I need to know to separate pieces that have been glued with CA glue??? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks
  15. So I currently have a clean TK. (AM 2.0) I am gradually working towards a HWT, so in the mean time is it cool to go ahead and VERY lightly weather my TK? My clean armor looks like I have not seen any action. Lol Thoughts??
  16. Ok so this might sound like a dumb question but here goes... Rather then buying charcoal powder....could I just use some of the black ash etc from my fireplace?
  17. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make your own t tracks? I'm not looking for them,to be super accurate, I made the poor mans dlt 19 from happy trooper. It looks good but of course just a fun prop for trooping. So I am looking for materials to make t tracks.
  18. Dude!!!!!! You are killing it! If you ever have any questions and are in my neck of the woods, PM me and swing by my place. You can look at everything in person, see my mistakes so to not make them on yours LOL I am always here to help!
  19. I have a wireless mic and receiver I used with my aker I am willing to sell. I bought a throat mic and don't need this anymore. PM me if you are interested
  20. Purchased one several weeks ago from the site in this discussion but no word on when or if it will ship. Did it take a long time for you guys to get yours?
  21. Getting there. Had a major problem where the weight of the barrel was too much for the receiver....long story....it was a mistake on my part. So what is did was add a mending plate as a support brace between the barrel and receiver. I know I know, it's not the most screen accurate but then again neither is this blaster if you want to be honest. It will be a fun blaster for trooping and it didn't cost me $300! 22. Making progress. Just hit the ends with a little black primer just to get an idea of what the bondo would look like painted and if I needed to sand more. To be honest it's not a hard build. Just takes time. I would like to add t tracks but not sure how to. Looking forward to having it complete. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  23. Just started this build today. Got a few things cut out like the stock etc. Looking forward to this! I will post pics soon.
  24. Thanks! Did not repaint the helmet. It's actually a 2 piece rubies helmet. It's a very cheap plastic kids helmet. I still gotta do some things to it before she wears it but I went cheap because I'm not sure how often she will wear it. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  25. Trimmed sanded and working on assembly. I made a lot of mistakes but the thing I keep reminding myself of is that this is NOT "real armor" that I am putting together for 501st approval. This is something fun for my daughter to wear with me on troops. Been replacing everything that is black with pink. Getting there. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
