Thanks guys! Makes me feel a lot better!

So May 4th will be my 1st troop!! I just finished my TK and am pretty proud of it. The only issue is that at this point I do not have a voice changer. My plan is to order one soon. What I do have is the Aker amp with mic. it is actually arriving today in the mail. Is there anything you guys recommend when using one without a voice changer? I know its not ideal but right now its all I have. Or should I just not use it at all and be a silent TK? (I sort of hate doing that cause I know there will be kids talking to me etc) Any thoughts? Thanks!

yes it is! I like the way he breaks it down as "Day 1, Day 2" etc. I had my laptop open and worked side by side making sure that mine looked just like his. Sure I made some mistakes on mine but nothing major. All I wanted to do was get it finished so that I could wear it. Now that I am done (all except the holster) I kind of miss going downstairs every evening and working on it. I will always be doing little things to it and making modifications as I go though so the work is never really done. If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to ask. I will do my best to help. There were lots of guys on here that helped me and if it were not for them I would have really screwed it up. Enjoy!!!!!

I assume that being in the rain with armor on is ok? I am wearing my armor for something at work in a few days. I will be outside for about an hour but its calling for rain. I should be fine right?

ordered my AM 2.0 kit at the 1st of Feb. got it in a few weeks. Finished it (minus the holster) this past weekend. It was my 1st build and I was very nervous! I liked that it cam pre trimmed and it was in my price range. Of course I had to do lots of additional trimming to fit me but it was not bad at all. I followed Navajo Bro's AM build tread also. His build thread is great for 1st time builders . Its very detailed. I highly recommend AM 2.0. You will be very happy with it I'm sure!!!!!

So I'm finishing my Am 2.0 but when wearing it I'm getting pinched in the upper thigh between the thigh and crotch. Ouch! I'm sure that's just part of trooping but what do you guys do to prevent this?

Anyone know if there is a particular type of aluminum to use to make the clips? Can you get them at lowes or home depot?

So I just returned from Disney world and while I was there and visiting the start wars launch Bay at Hollywood studios I noticed they were selling full tk armor. Price was $1800. Anyone know the details on that? Not really interested(in have an AM kit I'm working on) just curious what kind it is and if it's complete.

so what is a good basic "beginner level" mic system. I am new at this and just finishing my AM kit and would like to add this to my build. I am not at a point where I want to spend a ton of money on this feature yet so for now I am looking for an "entry level" voice mic with static burst (if that even exists) What do you guys recommend?

so my AM TD did not come looking like this. I still received the pvc pipe. I really want to try to make my own clips and working with plastic is a lot easier for me.

So my AM build is almost complete. I still need to add the TD, new boots, neck seal, and holster/blaster but I am happy with this so far since its my very 1st build ever! I would really like to figure out a way to use my boots. All I had were old boots that I painted white but they look bad right now. They will work I guess for little local troops here in my community but for "real troops" I know that I need real TK boots. Any suggestions on what I have so far would be greatly appreciated!!!!

So I am pretty much finished with me ANH TK and I have left over parts such as hand guards and knee plates I am obviously not going to use. What do I do with them? Sell them? If so where is the appropriate place to do so? If anyone is interested let me know.

I feel like I'm making progress though. Had to do a Trooper selfie.....if TKs could make "duck lips" ha ha

so when I try to add my button rivet covers to the belt they won't lay flat or flush. Did I screw up and put the rivets in backwards? And if so How do I fix this problem?

I'm almost finished with my AM kit. Hard hat liner feels a bit wonky. Should I use foam?<br> Liner or foam what's your opinions?

I know. It's killing me! Maybe there is a way to look at my photo bucket by accessing other postes. I have realized that I have lots to trim off of the thighs to have more mobility....but would love to have someone else take a look Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
