  2. Your biceps look good but I would sand down the edges of your cover strips to give them a straighter edge. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

  4. Here is where I'm at with the repair of the rivet holes. You can see the top hole for the kidney was the most damaged. I'm still very much a novice and my abs paste isn't the best. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  5. Thank you. I have plenty of extra elastic and now that you have said this, I will replace the webbing with the elastic. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  6. Thank you Joseph, but I think I have some left over. I bought an extra set from trooperbay before I started the build. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  7. This is a picture from when I put all the rivets in before I completed the build. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  8. MTK armor and the rivets came from trooperbay. The picture didn't come out well, couldn't get the camera to focus. But they pretty much shattered around the holes. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  9. My ab to kidney rivets have cracked my armor, 4 of 6 rivets. Any ideas why this happened? I glued strips of abs to the backs and put some abs paste around the holes to reinforce the areas. Any suggestions to improve upon what I have done? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  10. So true... One would hope that somebody aware of the laws involved with SBRs and willing to adhere to them would also be aware of the responsibilities. It is my opinion that although this is really cool, the weapon should not be trooped. In this day and age people may be easily spooked by a masked or costumed person carrying a functioning weapon. Let's not forget the "stormtrooper for hire" incident. Unless the owner lives in an open carry state, I believe the weapon should be kept at home and on the firing range. 11. I've been approved! I am member in the 501st! Now to work on that centurion... Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  12. Congrats on your BBB! I just recently finished my MTK and I really enjoyed putting it together. I started my build with putting the arms together. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  13. I spoke to a GML and he made some suggestions, so I made a few adjustments and attached my holster. Almost all the soft parts are from trooperbay with the exception of the bracket system. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  14. I think I'm done? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  15. Just a little update on this build. My daughter picked up a nasty cold from daycare and I've been working a lot of overtime so not much has been done since my test fit. The AC unit in my house went out so while the kids were at daycare and I was waiting on repair guys to show up, I was able to put together most of my belt. I made the canvas part myself and that was quite a pain. Hope I can do more soon. Still need a holster and blaster. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  16. The shoulder elastics are there just not the hooks. I kinda melted them on the first attempt. I also still have to make a belt. I have all the things needed to make the belt, just short on time. Short on cash too but I've been working overtime, so I should be able to afford the holster and blaster in a couple of weeks. 17. Thanks! I tried pushing the shins down as far as they would go. I have seen people use a strap that goes under their heel and/or velcro, I might try one of those. For the ab/cod, are you suggesting that I bring it up higher under the chest? Do you think shorter elastic loops in the brackets would help? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  18. I didn't want to alter/mod the armor too much but I may have to trim the backs of the knees. I am unable to bend my knees much. I know it's still screen accurate to have the U shaped trims, I was just hoping to avoid it. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  19. Test fit. Need to finish painting bracket screw heads, thigh garter, bicep hooks and helmet. ATA helmet stand in was used hence different colors. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  20. I have attached shoulder bells... forearm to bicep strap glued. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  21. Probably should have sewn on the female snaps for the shoulders BEFORE assembly. There will be many a curse word while I do this. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  22. Forgot to post a picture of the thigh pack riveted on. Put the strapping on the shoulder bells. And put the torso together. I still need to paint the rivets white, sew in the female snaps in the shoulder straps, glue in the bicep to forearm straps and make the lil hook thingys for the biceps. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  23. I thought it would be best to go back through all the parts and clean up the rough edges and excess glue once everything was done. Probably not the best way to go about this but with the pressure of my lack of free time, I am kinda just putting things together and hoping I will be able to get around to cleaning things up. This build thread has become more of a "look at what I am doing" thread more than anything else. In 6 months I will have an ATA kit and should be able to do a proper build thread. 24. Since the butt, kidney and abs were done I decided to put the strapping together. Then I glued the back to chest elastic Moving along I glued in the thigh support elastic straps and they're held in place with CLAMPS! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  25. Ab/kidney connection done. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
