  1. Do you plan on trooping with it? Sterlings are kind of heavy. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  2. It's already 90+ where I live, do I need the most intense fans I can fit in my bucket? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  3. Really? This is my first helmet, I had to have made some mistakes. I thought somebody would have weighed in on my paint job at least. Anyways, I only have the helmet thus far and made some corrections since the last post. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  4. It was not my intention to disparage the look or build of the TKs in the upcoming film with this thread. I was hoping to simply discuss the differences and possibly how it may affect future builds. It is interesting to me what others may have observed. Unfortunately, there are those who would rather share their negative criticism. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  5. Thank you for sharing that link. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  6. You could be kind of right. Since these TKs are chronologically before the the OT, it stands to reason their armor could still be developing. As for the production, I'm sure the costume department thought they could do a better job building armor than the "dated" process of the OT and may have adapted a FO assembly process. 7. REN_2100 did you get a reply email? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  8. The only thing that stood out to me was the strapping looks different and the kidney might be in 2 or 3 pieces. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  9. I'm sure you've all seen the Rogue one trailer by now. Did you pause the trailer to get the best possible look at the TKs? Notice any differences? I think I spotted a few tweaks but I would like to hear what everybody thought. I was hoping the "new" TK would be close enough to an ANH stunt so that old kit could work once a CRL has been done. I am really excited for this new installment. I mean, did you see those tan and then the black troopers!?! How cool are those, right? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  10. And here is the front and back. If anyone has any suggestions or constructive criticism by all means please share your thoughts. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  11. Here's side profiles to show my paint job. I'm not completely happy with it. In the future I would like to use an airbrush or least figure out how to paint without leaving streaks. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  12. Instead of the MICH padding I went with some foam from a pelican case. You can peel off little columns of foam to make it fit however you want. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  13. I just did a ATA helmet and used the "tk supply list" justjoseph63 posted in the getting started section. For the helmet, you only really need gloss black, gray and French blue. You can pick them up from most hobby/craft stores for under a couple bucks each. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  14. I was thinking about going with the MICH helmet padding. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  15. It's almost done. I'm just going obsess over little details until I'm satisfied. Still have the insides to finish as well. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  16. An angle showing said gap. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  17. Did a bit of a sloppy plastidip cheesecloth job. I might try to clean up the edges. Hand painted the traps, vents and well everything. It think it's obvious the details were hand painted. I drink a lot of caffeinated drinks and I think the edges of the details show that. I installed the lenses similarly to how others have. The tee nuts I used allowed for a gap between eye socket and lens. I don't know if I could live with that. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks for your input. That gave me the confidence to move forward on the mic tips and it turns out what concerned me isn't noticeable. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks! How did your mic tips fit? Mine only go in so far and there's a decent sized gap behind them.
  20. Think I went a lil too far on the paint? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  21. The hovi mic tips don't go all the way in to the sockets. Are they supposed to? Do I need to modify them? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  22. Got a little further when my daughter took a nap. During her 1.5 hour nap I was able to fit the left ear. I think I still have a bit of trimming to do to the ear. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  23. I trimmed the brow/ear lines and began an ear but then my ol lady got home from work, gave me chores and reminded me it was late. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  24. I am bit worried about the teeth. I'm afraid I will cut away too much.
  25. Thank You TheLoneRanger! She's feeling well enough to let me try to make some cuts.
