  4. Discovered a bag of sterling rears housing in a local gun store this morning.. they should be helpful

  6. Ive machined a alum box to mimic the Hengstler ,, but i still think i need to laser scan and make a casting that is the same finish and materiel... The detail will be ,, almost perfect.. Im going to try and get the casting tech to use the same gate/injection spots that the real one has .. Taking this apart sucks i hate putting them back together. the laser scan wont work as well if i dont. i have 3 of each size eagles counters i hate to fowl up one of the big ones.................................

  12. digging through some sterling parts boxes i came across these... Good find ill use these to make some copies... There is about 60 so ill put them on the sites for sale also

  14. Sending the front plastic cover to my injection molding guy,,, should have that back and ready in 30 days.... mean time ill work on replicating the coil.

Doing a good bit of work on finishing my Hengstler large eagle counter... completed the rear cast first ,,, many months ago and kinda forget to do the rest ... the internal box is being machined with the likeness i can do . Will probably cast that after a laser scan.. that will take several months to complete so im machining one to get started. [/u ]
  16. alum parts comparison looks really good ,,,I am super happy how the alum casting come out... all the details have been captured ..
  17. Have no fear the trigger group is already under way,,, i have post some o fthe cad drawing already. I am planning to layer the pieces like the real frame with an interal machine profile.. This will enable some switches and a function safety , with the ability to screw this thing to the bottom with out welding.
  18. I don't have a great way of taking that pic right now(soon ) ,,, I had a spring manufacture copy the coils and length of the vintage springs and guides. Should be like the real thing other than it will be a lighter rate and load on the spring should look and compress the same.. I even put the tapers on the spring so they lock into the grooves on the guides
