  1. Yes! I've already sized the front for the cover strips, so I guess I'll be gluing those and then size the back. Thanks!
  2. So I took one of your photos and started Photoshopping...
  3. This looks awesome so far! I'd love to get a DLT someday. Be sure to keep us updated!
  4. All righty, so while waiting for my brackets and whatnot to come. I've marked where the rivets are going to be placed on the ab plate. Does it look right? And I was sizing the shins and I have skinny legs, but how much should I take off? I don't want to take to much. Thanks for the pointers! I really appreciate them!
  5. Little Progress last night. Glued these guys. And trimmed these and painted. I know the paint job is not perfect, but after looking at some screen references they aren't perfect either! So I am good! More to come!
  6. Haha! It's always hard to detect sarcasm on the inter web.
  7. The problem for me is that I am jumping in this hobby relatively early, being only 18. I don't have much money since most of it should be going to tuition. But hey! That's awesome your wife supports you. I hope my future significant other is going to be as well (since I'll already have a TK suit).
  8. The helmet for now is 100% complete (for now). It's not Centurion level yet, but that's all right for now. I just want to get this thing done. Here it is with the mic installed along with all the other wiring. You can notice that I elected to go the electrical tape route. I works really well for a cheap solution and doesn't look too bad. I also ordered latex hand guards and original strapping system. 9. So true! I was like, "$550 for stormtrooper armor! Sweet!" Little did I know. Boots, a blaster, tools, glue and so forth. But it will be worth it!
  10. Excited to see this build move along!
  11. One thing if you are shooting for Centurion is that you will need to paint the rivets white, but for EIB it's fine. But looking good!
  12. Wow! This is looking good! I've always like the look of a DLT-19. Keep at it!
  13. Been a while since I looked at this thread... WOW! You've done a fantastic job!
  14. Should be safe. If you look up 04416 on the 501st page you will see that id is Pete's. (http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/user/14110-striker/) You can always PM him about any questions you might have!
  15. Ah, thanks! I would love to get Echo's fan system, but I have already poured a lot of money into this costume as is.
  16. Awesome! Thanks for the info!
  17. This? ------------
  18. I trimmed the fronts of both the shins and thighs tonight. Slowly moving along.
  19. Oh! And any tips on how I should hold the wires in place? Currently I am using painters tape...
  20. All righty! My helmet is all finished besides installing the mic. How is the best way to do this? And is the S-trim on these helmets accurate? Or will I need to get a new trim? (I made an outline of the trim shape for you to see better on the right)
  21. Thanks! That works perfectly!
  22. I'll post photos today after school, but I have one question in the mean time. I'm almost finished with my helmet and I have helmet pads, http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/221940214041?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true, what is the best way to install them?
  23. I believe they do offer completed suits along side of kits... -------- Just that no one that I know of has received theirs yet. ----------
