    I got up close and personal to the jodhpurs at SDCC, and it looks like wool is not the material. It is more a cotton duck cloth looking material.

    They might be, as in the case of a no-glue coupling, the "teeth" hold in the hose like a Chinese Finger Trap.

    From the look of the teeth on the inside, they look kinda like "push-to-connect" fittings, or some kind of "no-glue" coupling.
