  1. You don't look like you have a lot of space by the elbows which may bite while trooping. There should be approximately a 1/2" gap between your armor and your body. This will make the space in the wrist a bit larger but will be filled in and less noticeable when you have your gloves on - hope that helps mate
  2. It is an epoxy so I imagine it does - but honestly can't say. Car detail shops - the easiest way I found it was to google Novus and include your city name in the search [emoji8]
  3. If you can't find a Harley-Davidson then you can start to check Car shops as well - Oh and your "Fix-It Stik" is at Home Depot - Plumbing Isles [emoji2]
  4. This stuff is awesome! If you can try to pick up all 3 ( Novus 1 - clean and shine, Novus 2 - for light scratches, Novus 3 - for heavy scratches ) I have found this stuff helps to clean up the scratches from trimming and assembly as well as scuffs from the soon upcoming troops. Big cheers to Dan! Enjoy Harley Davidson [emoji48]
  5. I will only require the last buffing procedure as I will have already sanded the notch down with a 2500 grit. Higher grit sand paper is available at Jewelry suppliers for anyone that me be looking.
  6. Now once the bubbles are filled to my satisfaction and sanded down again this will be the next purchase/ process that will not only be done with the notch but my entire armor - hopefully before my Centurion application. I found this thanks to Tony when I asked him about polishing and they can be found at Wally World, Amazon, EBay... http://youtu.be/_t1RBw0IGXA
  7. Right then - those bubbles - rather than having to paste again I'm opting to paint them in - then sand and repeat
  8. Right then the bubbles showed up again but I'm going to take a different approach - none the less here is where I am After some more work here's what it looks like Sorry all - the notch is square but it's difficult to take the photo, hold the ruler, and the armor lol -
  9. The one item is was pondering in using for the notch was that "Fix-it Stik" epoxy stuff you used for your eyes but was concerned about polishing after and the sheen of the plastic.
  10. Big ol' brotherly hug - followed by a fist bump
  11. You don't have to go to the extent I am with my kidney notch mate - I just wanted to try and make it look the best that I can for Centurion. I have seen people just cut the notch and leave the indentation that remains as well as another who filled the rest in with paste. You're a skinny guy so you may not need to do anything at all! If you are going Centurion you are required to have the 22mm X 22mm notch. If you are going 501st approval then the only thing required is a separate kidney and posterior armor which is part of the AP armor so you're set. As for your build progress - don't worry - plastic spacemen can wait and we are always here[emoji106][emoji6]
  12. Congratulations on your approval!
  13. Repeat the process until the desired form is achieved - and if you're nervous about the process then you can practice on scrap[emoji2]
  14. For the shoulder bridges it was about a 5 second dip
  15. Really quite easy - for the forearms I allowed each piece a 10-12 second dip in the boiling water (making sure plastic did not touch the bottom of the pot) when I pulled the piece I began to form out problem spots with my hands (I recommend gloves to be safe as I have callused hands that are semi-heat resistant lol[emoji23])
  16. I used boiling water to make my forearms more comfortable for me by shaping out the portions of the armor that were digging into my arms.
  17. Thank-you very much for your kind words Angie! Can't wait to see your armor arrival and pre-build kick-off. Fist bump!
  18. Cheers Dan - appreciate it as always good sir!
  19. Latest Photo: 3rd round of paste
  20. These are for whats coming up soon - ohhhh I'm getting as excited as I was when getting my BBB (less the throwing up lol) - Feel the power of the TK "Oh Yeeeeah!" (sounding like the Kool-Aid man)
  21. This is an evening of sanding with me (this was the night of the shins) - I love the progression of the abs filings on me as the pictures - yes I am sanding and filing every part like this and look like this every night when I go to bed
  22. Clamps and more clamps and more clamps
