Aye Danimal - I will try Velcro on the inside again - please be aware though it won't look like yours as I have already secured the inner cover strips to create that guide channel and don't want to take them out as I'm aiming for that ID on Friday as I put a proverbial "dent" in my helmet last night. Velcro would definitely speed things up. I bit down on my TD and busted through a whole bunch of painting. I just have to do borders, vent lines, apply tube stripe decals and mount hovi tips and lenses. The only other thing left is giving the bottom of my shins a bath as my ankles are having the same problem as my forearms did. -
That's mint!

I used an exacting blade very carefully to score my line, and then used micro pliers to snap the excess off. -

I would like to take a moment again to send a big thanks to Chris and his TKVoice - if you want to get in on the beta send him a PM - I have to get the splitter cable still and a speaker but I want to use it for my first comic expo. You all have to check this out - it sounds absolutely deadly and special thanks to Slyfox740 for his audio - much and appreciation for your contributions gents they are priceless! I had to get in touch with TM to find out how long it took to ship from the UK. He was very honest with me, which speaks volumes of his character and it was very appreciated, about when my helmet could arrive. I was really concerned of it showing up during my holidays and I would miss the pick-up deadline. It won't be here before I leave (huge sigh of relief) so I can focus on getting my other bucket done for basic once my armor touch ups are done. Cheers TM you da man! -

Because I'm big and have sausage mitts I opted for the heavy duty pant closure hooks a little easier for me to use. And yes, I will experiment more with zippers after I get my basic. Along the same time that I continue my work on my Mark 7 neck seal. I love this hobby[emoji106][emoji6] -

Cheers Dan - I tried the Velcro earlier and it didn't do what I wanted to. Because the shins close naturally on their own I'm going to try the straps which can always be switched out for Velcro on a later date. I'm to the point where I need to get that basic approval before my trip. -

Well it's a partial win And a partial fail First of all my bad for breaking cure protocol - I was so curious and popped a strip but it's ok. And worked out for the best - the zipper worked on the first attempt with just under suit on and hooked the connection first shot - yippee totally stoked [emoji38] - second time with thigh armor on found it slightly more difficult to get hooked (10 to 15 seconds) but again zipped up not a problem [emoji846] - third time a lot more difficult to get connected 1 to 2 minutes with thigh and boot on still zipped up... annnnd happy feelings gone [emoji53]....[emoji23]lol After 3 zips the male connection on the zipper had already worn out - so much for the factory reinforcement - something to experiment with in the future (maybe not a Wally World zipper too). Now to implement the backup plan and pick up some hooks from Fabricland -
Gap looks great to me
