  1. Hello Nathan, Also check the ESB version has different hand plates (we call them Snowtrooper hand plates).
  2. Hello James, Welcome to FISD. Second what Jospeh said, you should take a look at our Expert Infantry programe. Have fun here.
  3. Hello Richard, Welcome to FISD. Be sure to check out our "Getting Started" section first. This section of the forum contains information like "Where to buy from" and "Whom to avoid", and of course, build tips and all sort of OCB things about building your Stormtrooper. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/38-getting-started-read-this-first/ Have fun!
  4. Hello and welcome to FISD. You will need to resize your profile picture to >0.25Mb. I use "Paint" in Windows to do that, for example mine is about 20kb and 200x200 pixels.
  5. Hello Don, Welcome to FISD. You might want check the Incinerator build section for tips : https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/90-inc-build-threads/ Hope you find what you are looking for.
  6. Hello Cheryl, Welcome to FISD. We are specialized for all things Stromtrooper, you can find building tips and all sort of thing related here. But for Clone Troopers, the CTD is The Place to go, they are the real specialist on all things clone: https://501stclonetroopers.com/
  7. Hello Jacob, Welcome to FISD. Have you check our vetted makers list? Usually they are on Facebook by the same name, some of the them are active on this forum too. Also you might want to get in touch with your local Garrison and see if they have a forum of their own or some sort of chat group for newbies where you can ask for the nearest physical help on building a suit.
  8. Congratulations! Welcome to The Legion trooper!
  9. Hello Jared, Welcome to FISD. As our fellow troopers indicated, it is desirable to purchase a ROTJ kit straight out. And you should aim to build it to Centurion spec (it is not that difficult if you aim for it right at the beginning). The Force Unleashed Stromtrooper has a peculiar combination of parts, the body is of ROTJ construct but the helmet is in ANH form (at least for the details), but of course you can still use a ROTJ one and confirm it to the CRL. I am a also Force Unleashed Stromtrooper commander and I had mine made by order from Troopermaster to the specs. I believe if you get in touch with any maker that makes ROTJ kit they can too tailor this for you. Shoot at us if you have any question any time.
  10. Hello Stephan, Welcome to FISD.
  11. You might need to apply a bit of pressure, gently. If it doesn’t want to go in, you might want to try flipping the S-trim and use the other grove instead (I usually have the curved edge facing outside).
  12. Hello Daniel, Welcome to FISD. Just wondering where are you from, you might want to rethink your choice of under suit for the summer, the heat gear type might cause exhaustion under the sun since the armor will trap your body heat inside.
  13. If the trim is not glued I think it is safe to remove it. Here is how I fixed a helmet with under-cut trim under the vocoder. If you don't have the same S-trim material at hand, use a U-trim instead. U-trim are fairly easy to find at local hardware store.
  14. Actually the trim does not need to be glued (well, unless you are bend on having the both side of the trim just under the tip of the tube strips sit perfectly flush). Cut the space filling material a bit longer than measured, the pressure from compressing the rubber will keep the trim in place. P.S. the screen used prop has the join point at the back. So in case you obtain a full new S-trim, do not cut at the exact length straight away, cut it a bit longer that measured and trim your cut bit by bit, apply some pressure to the S-trim until both ends meet each other.
  15. Is your trim glued or free to pull it off? I used a piece of U trim left over to fill that space, since it’s under the chin, it’s hardly noticeable. One other thing you could try, take a photo of your helmet top and bottom, send it to RS prop CS and ask if you can buy a strip of new S-trim from them. They are quite friendly and there is a high chance they will help you out.
  16. Where is the join point of the trim? I usually add a piece of material between the join point, just under the chin (black vocoder), it is the least visible place to do it if yours is too short for lining the whole length.
  17. Hello Nancy, Welcome to FISD.
  18. Hello John, There are 3 kinds of Stromtroopers a RS kit could make out of (well 4, if you count a Sandtrooper) - ANH - Stunt Stormtrooper - ANH - Hero Stormtrooper - ESB Stromtrooper The basic difference between an ANH "Hero" and "Stunt" is the helmet (and the ammo belt config). You can check the CRL for a detail breakdown on the differences. https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_hero https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt One way to look at it, "Stunts" are the normal average Stromtrooper you see marching on screen, in numbers. While "Heroes" are Han and Luke in Stromtrooper disguise aboard the Death Star (although you will see Hero helmet appears here and there during the film).
  19. Just for your reference, my ESB Centurion submission photo. Using a slightly cleaned up RS props Promo version.
  20. There are 2 types of E-11 you can use with your ESB TK costume. One is just an ANH E-11 stripped of the Power Cylinder and the Counter, preferably with a M-19 scope (as in the third photo you posted just above). The other one is the "Promo" version as seen in your first photo, this one is a bit tricky; If you check the CRL it listed all the requirements short of the 7th rubber track, which just covered the holes on the lower left hand side between the magazine receiver and the bayonet mount. RS props has a replica of this version listed on their store they claimed is a direct replication from the one used in the promo shots (which is just a piece of solid cast resin from a slightly offset L/R mold). If you want a Promo version one has the original juice, you can check out RS props website. If you like the promo style but like a cleaner version of it, I say 3D-Props for a one-stop solution or, you can download the parts from thingiverse and modify your own build. But if you want one just to go out and troop, a stripped ANH might offer you the simplest solution.
  21. Welcome to FISD! Troopermaster is an excellent choice.
  22. Ray's model on thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:957801
  23. Hello Aria, Welcome to FISD. Please do check this section out first before you commit to buy anything. There is a lot of information here on who is ok to buy from: And also who NOT : I recommend you pour a cup of coffee, take some time and go through the pinned topics on our getting start section first. Yes, there are a lot of reading there but it will help you to make the right decision on who to buy from based on your preferences, who suits you best and price. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/38-getting-started-read-this-first/
