  4. I'm waiting patiently for my icomm to return and also waiting for my rom-fx to arrive too, I like to have contingency plans if something fails... Apart from the armour I pretty much have 2 of everything
  5. HURRAH!!! (this is not a thread for debate or crying about the result, the result is the result get over it) Now is the time for the Americans to buy armour from the UK before the £ bounces back and it will... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  6. Yeah I saw the way yours fits you, wish mine fitted like that lol... As for my skills, pretty minimal really, the things I've made could be made by a monkey tbh, it must look harder than it actually was... And glad you mentioned the mesh I forgot to mention that, I got a plastic mesh off eBay and tried to superglue it in but the glue wouldn't stick to it! Weird... I ended up spraying plastidip over it and that stuck it in just fine.. the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  7. Nope not yet, last I heard was a 2 weeks ago and apparently it was done ready to send... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  8. The setup in my truck [emoji38] the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  9. OK so added a few more things, 1st some pads and a better lens Next came the fans and I cut the lens to fit better plus fitted a wireless mic... After that I fitted my hearing system and batteries for it and earbud headphones (system is stereo) plus my pebble to power the 2 fans (this can be swapped out for a 9v battery pack if the charge runs out) So I think that's about it, but this will be my display bucket when the new one arrives, the fitment of all this was to see what I can get in it with my big head... I'll also be putting heatshrink on the hearing amp when I get some to try and protect it from moisture...

  12. Nah I've got enough for what I need, otherwise I wouldn't have posted it here lol... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  13. Found this, they're not quite right as they're CP36 H but measurements will be the same and there's 39 of them at 0.99p start... http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/322148052101 the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  14. Also if you spot the tube looking thing in the rim I'll show you that next time, just something to make it more comfortable to hold... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  15. OK so it's been a while and I've collected a lot of stuff but decided it was time to start putting things together... A bumpy rs bucket (my secondary bucket) I took everything off it and out of it... Then 2 coats of plastidip spray... I decided not to split it as a) I didn't have a drill in the truck to drill the rivets out and I didn't have a rivet gun either... Next I drilled holes for ear mics (by hand holding a wood drill bit and pretty much gouging it out) Then adapted the stereo hearing system to be more bucket friendly... Then rough placement to see how my big head fits with it in... Next was the wiring for my fans, I did 2 harnesses, 1 USB for my pebble and 1 for a 9v battery... I had to make 2 harnesses as the USB one needed to to in parallel and the battery one in series... No switches on the fans yet as I'm getting some sent over the pond... That's pretty much where I'm at tonight and hope to get it finished this weekend... if I'm not too bogged down with other stuff... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  16. Oooops my baaaad.... Buy you know you're happier with it now [emoji6] I really need to do my stuff, but not this weekend I'm out with the bike club [emoji106] [emoji443] beer beer we want more beer, all the lads are cheering get the blamming beer in [emoji443] the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  17. [emoji38] But yeah he's right... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  18. Also, real scope and counter cost more each than you'd pay for the Stirling if you go for the correct ones... if I were you I'd put the money into things you can use 1st and then once you've got everything for trooping then plunge for the display items... As for work, the only damage/alteration you need to do to the Stirling itself is cut down the mag, the rest can be put on/taken off with no modifications... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  19. Lee, I have one (not converted yet) you cannot troop with it in the UK... even deactivated... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  20. Having seen 1st hand (I own 1 soon to be 2) the RS buckets AND held the faceplate mold at RS inspecting it myself I'd say without doubt this is a recast of an RS bucket... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  21. I would think the issue isn't what molds are being used but where the data files to form the molds came from... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  22. As far as I know at the moment it's 6-8 weeks... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...

    Nobody home...

Sorry for late reply my phones been in the shop and the pile of bantha doodoo they gave me as a loan phone didn't have internet... Right so I went to rs last Saturday and they sorted out my thighs and other issues... got a new larger pair of boots which fit better (the boots are extremely narrow so I suggest people order 1 size larger than usual) So it fits a lot better now... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
  24. I have a habit of haunting people, and that's before I die... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...

    Nobody home...

Still no [emoji35] I would talk to them about the issues of which there are more than I posted here but apart from Andrea acknowledging my complaint I've been completely ignored and now I'm just annoyed... So other issues... I requested the smooth helmet but got the bumpy, which wasn't such a big deal but there is a dent in it below the right hovi, also the right hovi has been mounted wonky and touches the rim of the recess and the paint is chipped in 3 places on one of the ears... The shins have been glued twisted and the top edges of both are misaligned by approximately 15-20mm... The boots are tiny, if I'd been informed of the very small fitting I'd have ordered bigger as my size cripples my right foot in particular and takes the skin off my little toe, the paint was still tacky... The corners of the backplate seem to be curved down and it won't sit flush on the kidney plate... The ab and kidney plate seem to be misaligned although this may be due to my height I'm not sure... After wearing once most of the paint has chipped off the rivets on the kidney plate although I don't know if this happens to everyone... I think that's all but I think it's a long enough list and warrants the decency of a reply... the force? oh I'll use the force, bring me a hammer...
