I've looked but can't find any posts so asking if anybody has stripped an M38 scope? I just wanna see the complete internals coz I'm like that... I've seen an old diagram for a higher rate view conversion but it's not what I'm looking for... Any help is appreciated... if it works kick it, if it doesn't work kick it till it does...

Sourced most if what I'm after for my sterling conversion but t-tracks have me stumped over here, ideally I want so scratch build them but don't know where to get the stuff to do it... I was thinking of getting them here if I can't find the stuff http://www.toddscostumes.com/costume-supplies/star-wars-prop-builders-supplies/star-wars-prop-makers-t-strips/ But as he has more than doubled his price since last week he can go whistle... It took 2 weeks got me to get my 1st scope off them, still waiting for the 2nd, they ain't the quickest at dispatching stuff and I'm in the UK... if it works kick it, if it doesn't work kick it till it does...

I've waited since 1977 for mine, another 2 months is hardly going to be a problem... gives me time to, Erm, oh there's nothing I have to do but wait ho hum... Are we there yet? if it works kick it, if it doesn't work kick it till it does...

That's craftsmanship right there... Even if you don't sell the completed blasters I'm sure you could sell tons of those scopes, I already want one... if it works kick it, if it doesn't work kick it till it does...

Yeah, it wasn't till last night lay on my bunk in the truck I realised "I've got a vernier gauge and a full doopy" (double facepalm) Think the only measurement I was missing was the diameter so I should be good I think... Many thanks for the help... Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

I've been traveling through post after post looking for measurements so I can build my own... I can find a few build threads with some outstanding work in them but sadly lacking dimensions and the sticky resource thread only points to one of said builds... All I can find is a jpg of the baseplate with dimensions for that but even that brings up another question... The baseplate: the rear (vertical part) in the diagram has 2 X 2mm holes drilled in it but the builds I've seen have 3 larger holes with the capacitors partly going through it, which is correct? Capacitors: what is the correct diameter and length of the main body of them? Cylinders: what is the correct diameter and length of them? I've already got the correct screws and nuts (advantage of being English with an old shed full of what most people call crap) Help in this would be massively appreciated... Absolutely lost for words....................... Well not quite but I guess my only comment can be wow... So as I'm getting a Stirling and converting it I've now ordered 2 dd scopes and 2 monocular, I'm one of those that has a spare 'just in case' I'm going to attempt this to the best of my ability HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... I can empathize with what he is saying, not on here in my own experience but on a triumph bike forum, my bike was originally a triumph Daytona and the frame was thrown away and most of what's left was put into a hand built custom chop frame, because of this I was shunned and or ignored by most and as that place had it's cliques a lot were wary of replying as they thought they may be looked down on by the rest of the teletubby's (one piece racing leather suit wearing guys on street bikes)... That said, here there are plenty that give encouragement but as has been mentioned a lot of posts go up and reading every new or newly replied post isn't generally viable to people with a life (haha yeah I just implied we all have lives, Ooooft if only)...
