1. I don't have the reference shot handy but it think originals had like 75-80degree angle. Personally I took the comers off because they are so sharp and with wonky shaped armor the angles seem to fit better.

I think it was the RS suit reference pics I was referring too but here is a build thread with lots of pics from one of the deployment officers.
http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31920-ukswraths-am-10-ata-bucket-build/?p=411829
2. To echo Detachment leadership with a slightly different spin, you will get out of FISD what you put in. There are of course areas that get more views than others i.e. ANH vs ESB or ROTJ. But doing your research and asking questionson others' threads or via pm goes a long way. Given I'm pretty far from most of my garrison FISD was my major source for info, help and support.
It's also important to realize that most people (I hope) won't comment outside their area of expertise. I'm a new builder and try to be quick to talk about the mistakes I made and the lessons I learned but that's all.

Don't give up just try something different.
3. Welcome Sean. I'm tuning in to see another MTK build.
4. Slow down. Your build will be over soon enough. Order some cut resistant gloves.
5. Greg, glad to see this come to completion! Good work and good luck on approval, not sure you'll need luck though.
6. Thanks. Your build thread and problem solving really helped me along. Another big thanks to FISD, I'm quite a long distance from most of my garrison so the help I got here got me through it. i have been trying to help others and share what I've learned. Troopers helping troopers.
7. Thanks everyone! Figures I forgot to set notifications on my own thread so this was a pleasant surprise. I'll work on the strap length for the shoulder bells / arms and submit for centurion.
8. No problem. You guys are crazy busy plus elections and all that. Get to it when you can no hurry.
9. Great job. Your almost there.
10. Steve, Thank you, I am grateful for all the help and info you provided during the build.
11. Thank you, I updated above.
12. Thanks Joseph. I really appreciated the advice at the armor party couple of weeks ago.
13. Thanks for the good read everyone!
14. Submitted for your consideration. It may be a bit premature as I am still tweaking the strapping but I am Always looking to improve and think the EI app will help. 15. Congrats. Good to see ESB every once in a while.
16. You may want to check out the reference picture section. Not here are several shots that show some of the original suits. I'm on a mobile device so this is the best I can do for now.
http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/image/907-arms-1jpg/

Remember if you are going to wear this you don't want any sharp corners or edges that could snag your under suit or worse hurt you.
17. Here is a shot of the finished look with the belt fix. I shared one of the lessons I learned on ComradeDave's build thread. That is that nous polish is not safe for paint. Make sure you clean all the polishing oils off the piece before you paint it or it will make a big mess. Basically paint that does't ever dry. My only recovery was to scrape the loose paint off and sand it down to plastic. Then wash with dish soap several times and throughly dry before repainting. It was a painful lesson so hopefully I can stop someone else from making it. I went on my first troop. 3 school awards assembles in back to back. It was awesome, I found out that I can do stairs in armor. Now its fixes and fine tuning. I still may have to trim out the backs of the thighs for a little more comfort and flexibility but I want to make sure thats really needed. I am getting ready to submit for EIB. I have been remaking some elastics and moving some snap plates around trying to fine tune the fit. I am getting the distinct impression that I could tweak this forever. The good news is this keeps the build bug in check, which allows the budget to recover...
18. I was told it was. Mine look a little wider than that, just an artifact of Mtk armor. Haven't submitted for the higher levels yet but basic approval was no problem. Here are the 2 posts on my build thread: Question: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32163-trogdors-first-build-mtk/?p=434599 Answer: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32163-trogdors-first-build-mtk/?p=434603 Good luck on your build your off to a good start. Edited as it was broken when posted from the iPad.
19. I have never used novus on the TK eye material, but I have used it on a clear motorcycle windscreen. It worked, you just have to go slow and only use 3 where you have to to minimize a big scratch. Honestly I think a diminishing abrasive car headlight restore polish might be better depending on the damage your trying to remove. The other thing I learned with novus is the polishing oils cause distortion (greasey look) When looking through the plastic. So wash well to check progress or when done.
