Cheers buddy. -
I'd start with the thighs, these are the first parts on when you kit up.
What's hitting and where, are they too big, are they too snug or just so? Looking at them they want to come up a shade but there's stuff in the way.
You're arms, abs, back, butt and belt also need looking at but one step at a time is the best way to good results.
I'd also agree that having a poke through some of the Anovos builds its a good idea, maybe start by going to the centurion section and finding some members who cleared Anovos at level 3 so you can see what they did to get there. (plug: I'm one of them and I have a handy link to my build in my sig)

Been looking forward to these, as you well know. I only just missed out on the old run. Though now I'll need some fancy paper, and 2 frames.
If you need a test subject, I'll take mine in A4 please

Congratulations troopers.

Nice work. I did some flash guards for my doopy Doo build and they are deceptively hard to get right. You've done an excellent job on these.
-
Congratulations Anthony! See you on the front line!

The doopydoo kit is one of the best out there for both quality and price (and there for value). But their already poor customer service seems to be getting worse and worse from what I've been reading. I was toying with buying another last summer/autumn but the rumours of stuff taking even longer put me off.
There may well be a perfectly valid reason for all these delays but thanks to the "legendary" comms issue we'll never know. Guess it's time for us to all move on, which is a real shame.

Welcome back to the FISD. I think the active/inactive thing is based on when you've last signed into the forum.
Unless you mean your full 501st status then that's based on when you last trooped.
-
I'm not sure how long the approvals take normally but if you haven't heard back in about 3 or 4 days let me or humperdingle know and we can go find out what's up on the Garrison side for you.
Once you hear back just follow the instructions above and you should be okay. Again any issues let one of us know.

Hi will looking good.
I will say I wouldn't change out the hoster mounts. The rivets are what was screen used and I know the snaps are just a practicality mechanism and won't show when in use. I use this my self and it is a great compromise between accuracy and practicality.

Welcome to the FISD!
If you're already a cleared member of the 501st make sure to request your 501st access. Also have a look into the advanced tactics programs and see if you can take you're armour to the higher levels!
-
This pops up from time to time, looks like they've changed the text though. If it was legit I'd say the price was fair.
-
There's a reasonable chance this changes are to stunt helmets to allow for better vision for the stunt men. The hero helmets wouldn't have been changed if that was the case.
-
This sucks, there can't be a huge market for these so it's not like they can shift it without someone noticing.

Welcome to the FISD!
We actually have a sub section dedicated to making armour here : http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/65-the-foundry-armor-and-prop-making/
Good luck in your build!

Nice work. How's that 3rd fan affect things? I tend to only run 1 fan even at the excel but it does mans I end up a shade deaf on that side by the end of the day. If I can balance that it would be nice.

Sorry I should clarify: the UKG, or UK Garrison, is the UKs part of the 501st legion.
-
There's a few dozen lined up over the next few months, with more already in the pipeline I'm sure (the events team only publish 8 weeks in advance).
Next big ones will be the MCM events in Liverpool (march), Birmingham (Different weekend in March) or London in May. There's lots of smaller events but I'd have to go look those up, there's one in Basingstoke I think, but don't quote me.

Turn up at a troop and you'll be welcomed. We'll have a good time, make some smiles and arrest some rebels.
If you want to know the ins and outs of the UKG clearance process let me know and I'll give you a run down, I won't lie it's not as simple as most Garrisons but it's also not as scary as people make it seem. Yes the standard is high but it's also not unachievable with only a little care and attention to detail.

Hi Will welcome to the FISD.

Welcome back to the DL post. Sounds like we have a busy 12 months ahead of us and I am certainly willing to help you where I can.

Hi Andy welcome to the FISD.
I went to uni in Bournemouth, lots of good memories there.
I must admit I don't know how active or not the Dorset troopers are in the UKG. What I will say is if you're going to go to the effort of movie accurate then the UKG will welcome you. It does seem a bit regimented but the reality is once you're through the clearance process you can take or leave as much of that side as you want. What it does give you is access to some of the great trooping and event opportunities we have. This is obviously you're call but at least consider it.
I'm going to guess you've got a Shed (also known as a DA) kit?
What ever you're choices 501st wise get a build thread up and ask any questions you need and I'm sure you'll come out the other end looking great!
