Someone in the group said an Anovos rep told him they are completing the TK build behind the curtains at their booth. He said they even showed him the TK being finished he says.

On a Facebook group for people who bought the Anovos kit. Also, there's some news which should please you guys... It looks like Anovos has listened to the community and is planning to go back to ABS instead of PVC! From a SDCC attendee : "I just recieved this comment from Anovos. "Correct! We have listened to fan feedback and presently plan to revert to the original ABS for the armor. More details will be revealed at the ANOVOS panel on Saturday. :)"

I don't know if anyone noticed that but you can see that they assembled the armor with black elastics for the shoulder bells... Is that representative of their "strapping system"? Gosh, I wish I was there to ask!!!

You know what? I think you're right!!! I'm looking at pics from your build thread and the Anovos pulls side by side and I don't think they are the same at all! Is it just me or the return edge is quite slim on most of the parts of their pulls?

Hi Paul! Thanks for your response! My intention wasn't to kick the hornets net and call you a liar. If it was perceived like that, I apologize. We will know for sure if your allegations are true after SDCC. People will have had a chance to see the armor and tons of photos will come out so I guess the educated people on here will be able to make that call then. Someone said that at this point why skimp on 200$ when you can have an armor from a vetted maker that you know is 501st approved. However, with the price of all the soft parts that are included in the Anovos kit, in the end, the difference is more like upwards of 500$. This may not look like much to some people but it's about a quarter of the budget for this build. I used to think my previous costumes were expensive, I made a few that cost me about 300$ each but we are talking 3 to 4 times that here at the very least, so for me it's kind of a big deal! I have a window of opportunity to build this suit right now and the price is really good so I REALLY hope you're wrong about the recast thing!!! If indeed the armor end being a recast, I may have to reconsider. AP is in my area and I know he is highly regarded by members here. That would however delay my project by a few months or maybe even a few years as I may have other priorities then, aka production of tiny humans... Again Paul, if I have offended you in any way, I'm sorry.

The price is what drew in a lot of us. My girlfriend's heart missed a beat when she learned how much some member of the 501st paid for their armor. Price is a make or break point for a lot of people, myself included. Looking at those pics, it looks like a nice kit. However, if it indeed is a recast, given the census here on the question of recast armor, wouldn't Anovos trooper be viewed as outcasts?

I'm still pretty new to this. Can you elaborate on what are those signs that tells it's a recast from RS? I don't mean to doubt you but rather to learn about those and make an educated decision as to whether or not I will stay on board with this armor...

I've already bought all the parts necessary to build my own fan system

I bought all the pieces from eBay, I'm in Canada and we don't have any Radio Shack anymore! I'm only missing the fans which are on their way! I'll let you know how it goes

I ordered on June 4th I think... I got the dispatch email just now... They are gathering orders before making runs. But hey, I'm in no rush so, I'm still happy it's coming!!

Yeah, that happened to me too... I was lucky and managed to order on my 3rd try. It's definitely not the best customer experience but for the price, I guess it's to be expected...
