  1. Finished them. Took me out of my comfort zone a little bit, but managed to get them down. I’ll try fitting them after I run an errand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. After putting my undershirt on I’ve run into a problem. I guess it may not be a bad one. My right bicep feels a little tighter than it did when I made the initial cut on it. I’m thinking all the heavy lifting of hundreds of wine boxes is giving me a little more muscle mass than I had before. I have decided to trim the return edge off the fronts of my biceps to see if this will remedy the situation. Here is the before picture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Good morning troopers. Gonna start the mad push to finishing this TK up. All snaps have been glued inside my limbs. I will show pictures later. I took the clamps and tape off my ab plates, here is what it ended up looking like. My plan today is to measure out the strapping for my arms and get them in. I want to start the straps on my thighs. Let’s see how far I can get. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thank you. I’m happy it’s helping you. I’m just following other good builds on here, and using them as guidance while getting mine together. (Is that kinda like plagiarism?) LOL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Painted a rivet on my Ammo Knee. Once it’s pretty dry I’ll flip it and do the other side. Also, I started to make the inner connections. Did the back side so far. Next I’ll do my thighs, and work on the front. …..and I have my ab button plates gluing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks. It means a lot coming from you guys.
  7. Took some more off. I think it a looks much better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Woohooo! Got the last part on my knee gluing down for 24 hours. This time tomorrow, the major construction of all my limbs will be complete. Also, I sanded down the big ab button plate. I’m thinking it still needs a tad off on the sides, but wanted to check in with you guys for input. Here is a photo with them together. Looking forward to see what you guys have to say. This weekend I will be gluing the rest of my snaps in on my bells and arms. Then I will most likely move on to sewing my strapping system together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Phase one of gluing the sniper knee down. Once the two spot cure, I will glue the last point that makes contact with the thigh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Got around to sanding, filing, (and sanding) my sniper knee down. I believe it is ready to go on my thigh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Also, I’m calling my belt done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I added some new photos after adding a slighter angle towards the back of the thigh. Do you still think it looks okay, or should I go back to the original line?
  13. I think I will try the Sugru. Thanks for the advice. I’ve gone on to tape the area of the sniper knee that has excess material. If you guys think it looks good, I will go ahead and remove it.
  14. Back at it again this morning. I made some adjustments to my ammo pack and installed it. I made a slight miscalculation and pre drilled the home on the thigh, when I should have marked it after putting the first rivet in, but it is what it is at this point. Here are the photos: Left side (which faces between my knees) Outer side. I’m hoping since the mistake is on the inside of my knees, and will be difficult to see, it will be okay. This was no easy task, as the plastic was very rigid. I guess we will see what happens when I shoot for higher levels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Awesome. 16. Hello again. Time to apply snaps in the arms. I had a question before moving on to that. The front of AM biceps do not have a very good return edge to trim. When I glued them together, I left them on. As you can see in the photos below. I figured this part would be tucked under the bell, so I would just leave them as is. Would this affect higher levels as I go for them? If so I would attempt to change them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Hello Jonathan. This is the first time I have ever read a new member introduction post and seeing them wearing some armor in it. Hope to see you get approved soon.
  18. Thanks Glen. I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I can't wait to submit in the pre-approval section and eventually submit to my GML. My goal is to get Centurion this go around.
  19. Made some progress on my TK. I glued the back cover strips on my thighs. Got the snaps glued in the torso, drilled the hole for the cod, and put snaps in the butt plate. I trimmed the extra material from around the shoulder bridges, and put the curves on the Ammo knee. I think I will have to redo them though. When I was checking the fit, there was excess material on the sides that passed the ridge. Once the cover strips are dry on the thighs I will measure it, and cut the width so it fits the area better. 20. Welcome to the F.I.S.D. I hope you have fun when you start building.
  21. Thanks @Chemi. I will sand them down more.
  22. Good morning. Today will be a fun work day on this Stormtrooper of mine. I plan on gluing snaps into place, as well as try to finish my legs. I still have to work on removing some material from my sniper knee, but I have to re-tape the lines where I want to cut. I started fine tuning the ab buttons. I think I may have removed a bit too much on the bottom left side. I will work on sanding the big plate down as I feel it is still too large. I did use the diagram below but mine still seems off. 23. Thanks for the advice Joseph. I will work on it today.
  24. I am trying to emulate the reference photos above on the curve of the bottom edge. I think it still need a little more work. Any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. After looking at another members AM Centurion Request I found that some work had to be done on the Knee Pack. I sanded down the top to give it more of a straight edge at the top corners. I will also have to work on removing some of the edge of my sniper knee. I am currently in the process of taping it off so I can make the cuts.
