I'd like to thank Tony for all his help during my build, using the thread on FISD. He also kindly responded to question and concerns I had via messaging. Thank you so much Tony. I greatly appreciate it.

I happened to find Mike's TK build videos while searching YouTube for a visual reference on my first build. I am grateful that he has made them, as they helped me in spots where I was stuck, or needed confidence when I had none. They are very informative, and I probably would not be where I am at if it weren't for those videos, and help from friends and other Troopers in my area. I would like to commend him all the way from California, not having even met him. Although, I sent him a few emails to ask him some questions, and he kindly replied to each one. Thank you, Mike. Hopefully there will be a day that I can thank you in person.
Best Regards,
Mark

The Anovos helmet should already have S trim. Mic tips should be fine as well, but if you have an older one the screen mesh is too fine (fixed on new kits).
I do have an older kit. I just realized that it does have the bottom screws on each ear. I'll have to start looking for a different screen though. Or go to Trooperbay. Thanks Brien.

I am preparing to start work on taking my Anovos TK to EIB status. I was doing research to see if the helmet is EIB ready. I know I need to change the neck seal to the "S" type, and put screws in the bottom of the ears. I think all the decals are good. But my concern is the Mic tips. Are those good for EIB, or should they be changed out? Thanks in advance, Troopers.

Lol. Nothing official buts let’s get this started. A patch sounds like a great idea.
Who do we talk to? I love this idea!

Forgot to add, nice first 3 digits! Welcome to the 421 club!
Is there an official 421 Club? Can we start one? That would be a cool patch. LOL

Congrats! That's a killer deal on the Anovos kit, man.
And isn't a trip to actually wear this stuff after seeing it on screen for so long? Have fun trooping!
Yes, it is surreal wearing it. My first troop is on September 9th. I’m a wee bit nervous to wear the armor in public for the first time. I just ordered my Hyperfirm blaster today, so it won’t be here before then. Maybe I’ll just be a handler.

Thanks

You are very welcome.

Is this under “Armory” section for makers?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I found it under the “Getting Started”

I’d look at the Armor Maker thread and go from there. I know Anovos doesn’t sell it by the sheet.

This is the one I found, but there are others:

Google “ABS Plastic Sheets”, and you’ll find something. I found one company (can’t remember the name) that sells it in different thicknesses. Or you can contact different armor makers to see if they have sheets you can buy.

I emailed him a few weeks ago about aquiring armor. Like you, I am 6’2”. I haven’t heard from him yet. After reading this, I’ll just keep checking my email.

I’m glad I read this. I am getting ready for my first troop, on September 9th. I’m getting Mynocks in my stomach thinking about it, but I am so stoked. I asked to be a handler because I’d like to see how Troops interact with the public, and get an idea of what that is like. I don’t have a blaster yet, but I was told that someone would most likely have a blaster I can borrow if I do decide to suit up. “Troopers Helping Troopers”! Thanks for this information.

I have always dreamed of being a Stormtrooper since seeing Luke and Han infiltrate the Death Star in Episode IV. Now that dream has come true. It was quite a journey of sending emails, reading all kinds of information online, and eventually finding this forum.
I consider myself a lucky TK, as I was able to acquire an Anovos Stormtrooper kit when they were first announced at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim. I purchased it for a price of $350, a special price point they had it set at during that weekend. It came the week my first child was born so it had to sit for a bit while a adjusted to life with a newborn. I was invited to an Armor building party, a few months later and the fun began.
Im going to keep this short because you may have already read many of the tips from the great folks on this forum. I would like to thank all those guys and gals that take so much time and effort to detail their builds, answer an email, or text, or in one case, have a nice conversation on the phone! I could not have gotten to the point I have without all the wonderful input from you! I look forward to helping out in whatever ways I can, like those of you helped me. Thanks for letting me be part of this wonderful family, and I look forward to serving the Empire for many years to come.

Awesome job. You are on your way for sure.

On the helmet. I thought that it would be a fun project to fix it up and go for EIB. In some pictures you can really see that extra flashing. I feel pretty comfortable in trying to trim those now. This is my first build so I was nervous during the whole process.

They were a little sharp and digging below my belt line. Perhaps I could've trimmed them a little differently.

Thanks for the recommendations Joseph. I forgot to put the Velcro in the bicep to attach to the shoulder Bell. I’m going to work on this today. I will make new elastic for the chest and backplate connections too. Once this is complete I’ll send a follow up picture. Thanks again for the advice.
