Well 850s kits are considerably less detailed than Jim's (I've had both), not sure how this will resolve your issue if you're looking at it from an accuracy standpoint. Have you spoke with Jim to see if he's changed his process? Sorry, to clarify I've had both of their kits, not necessarily R1 TK.

Yea I've never understood why they didn't adopt the longer more accurate lower section in the Alpha and Beta kits. As for kits built before SWCC, if someone hasn't done it before but has the helmet, gaskets and other soft goods this shouldn't be a problem with some skilled help.

Except for the folks at Anovos or those who know someone at Anovos I don't think anyone knows how many kits there are and how many have been sent out.

Makes no difference to me so long as builders are no longer confused by the information

So true, assembling by the skin of our teeth. Thank goodness some of the Alphas took time to post some build progress, I know it was no small task with only two weeks from start to deadline.
