  1. I'm assuming most of the bunching goes away with the armor on? BTW nice weathering
  2. Ohhhhhh YEAAAAAA! Party time!
  3. Harbor Freight in Columbia shows having them also
  4. Good stuff Brian Looking forward to your build
  5. Yea that's why they're mainly suggestions. We want everyone to look their best but at the same time the final look is ultimately up to the wearer. As long as you're happy is what matters. At L3 we get a bit more detail and CRL critical. Great job
  6. Hey Oscar, thank you for your patience and Centurion application. Let's get started. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All submission photos are present. There are a couple areas you will need to update before we can move forward. 1) Forearm return edge. According to the CRL there is to be no return edge on the forearm near the wrist. Please remove and post a new picture showing the updates. Thanks brother For level three certification (if applicable): No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. Reference photo 2) Multiple seams at kidney. The CRL states you can have only one visible seam. Adding a bit more ABS paste and some paint should remedy this. Something else we notice but a will not require you to fix unless you want to , the lower edge of the shim should meet up with the lower edge of the kidney. Since your belt hides this it's easily hidden from view. For level three certification (if applicable): Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. A single visible seam line is present. 3) Drop box alignment. We're not requiring you to repair this for approval but it is highly suggested you secure the connecting strap to the waist belt so that they remain in position. It is required they remain in position. For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. In your action shot they're spot on but by itself they appear to be off. Alright, just a few areas to take care of and the Centurion badge is yours. You can do it Oscar
  7. Hey Kalani, thank you for your EIB application. Let's get to it shall we. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted. Your armor has met all the requirements for Expert Infantry. Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you. Great job trooper Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section Sly, myself or your fellow troopers would discuss observations to improve the overall final look of your armor, though none of the suggestions will effect your EIB status. Your right shoulder bell to chest gap appears to be a bit wider than the left side. We suggest shortening the bell to shoulder attachment strap a bit. Easy fix Your ab appears to be off center. If you're using the ab as a anchor for your thighs be aware your thighs may be pulling it off center. You might want to suspend you thighs differently and see if the concern is remedied. Eye sockets could use a little TLC, but not much. Maybe remove a bit more of the return edge in the center, upper lids of the eyes. Gap between left ear and helmet. There's nothing wrong with having some gap but it looks nicer where left and right sides are similar. A little trimming may be in store. Centurion Suggestions: In this section Sly, myself or your fellow troopers may suggest required or recommended repairs prior applying for the Centurion level however, the accuracy it is ultimately up to the trooper. The only area of concern, as stated in the CRL there can only be one seam on the kidney. This is a required element. A little more ABS paste should do it. For level three certification (if applicable): Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. A single visible seam line is present. That's it, just a few minor items and you'll be ready for Centurion. Great job Kalani and congrats.
  8. Hey Mark, thank you for your EIB application. Let's get started CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted. Your armor has met all the requirements for Expert Infantry. Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you. Great job trooper Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section Sly, myself or your fellow troopers would discuss observations to improve the overall final look of your armor. None of the suggestions will effect your EIB status. We generally like to see a minimal shoulder bell to chest plate gap. We suggest shortening the bell to shoulder attachment strap. Reference photo Your ab appears to be off center. If you're using the ab as a anchor for your thighs be aware your thighs may be pulling it off center. In this next picture you'll notice the pull is so bad it's actually appears to be pulling the kidney down effecting the ab to kidney, and kidney to back plate alignment, which brings us to our next concern. The ab to kidney gap is not too bad but the kidney to back plate is too much. We believe these areas being effected are related. Lifting the thigh up should relax the ab and kidney. For the sake of argument you might want to suspend you thighs differently and see if the concern is remedied. Helmet Vcoder paint outline washed out. It's not uncommon we see the paintwork coming from Anovos to be a bit lackluster. The Vcoder should have high and low points. Your helmet would look much nicer if those lines were cleaned up a bit Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section Sly, myself or your fellow troopers may suggest required or recommended repairs prior applying for the Centurion level however, the accuracy it is ultimately up to the trooper. The only area of concern we have is our request to remove the overspray at he frown, created when Anovos painted it. Reference photo That's it, just a few minor items and you'll be ready for Centurion which we hope to see you at. Again, great job and congrats.
  9. There's one in Jefferson City, then again it may be easier to go the Amazon Route
  10. I can only comment on my system, but it utilizes the 3.5mm audio "AUX" port on the amp to bring in additional audio and play it through the same speakers you speak through. Some use their phones or a MP3 player of some kind to bring in those spound bites (TK chatter). Hope this helps
  11. Almost bought it my self this weekend but didn't really need it, impulse buy didn't prevail lol
  12. Welcome to the wonderful world of Stormtrooping
  13. Here ya go Pat http://www.harborfreight.com/60-in-4-drawer-hardwood-workbench-69054.html
  14. The time it takes for the glue to skin over (not worth using) grows shorter with heat. What takes 1 minute to shin at 70 degrees may take 30 seconds at 100 degrees.
  15. Can of oil Seriously though, if it's built correctly the only thing you should be hearing is the plastic sections rubbing against one another.
  16. And the stunts have it!
  17. I live in CA and have trooped on a few hot days. Using E6000 or CA I've had no problems. If you're familiar with CA glue go for it, just remember redos are almost impossible after assembly, E6000 is much more forgiving. I've assembled armor in hot weather also using both E6000 and CA. Something to remember is the skin over and cure times drop off with heat, especially dry heat. If you can let your armor cool before assembly that's your best bet, if you can't, be patient but quick.
  18. 2" Max, yes. You can, but I suggest less then recheck it.
  19. Switch the outer left and inner right halves and post a new pic. Hey Rick, regarding the thighs I wouldn't remove any more than 1" from each side. Afterwards you may need to add foam to take up any gaps. As for the calves remove maybe 1/2" from each side. Install with tape and post another picture. No worries brother you're good.
  20. Hey Christina, thank you for your Centurion application. Let's do this! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All submission photos are present. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Centurion. Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to Centurion. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: As stated before, excellent job on your build, your hard work paid off.
  21. Hey Manny I know it's a minor formality can we get a picture of the cod rivet please thank you
