Great improvement! I agree with Tony on those other gaps. The thigh to cod ones especially. Not just for aesthetics though. If you can actually get that inner curve of your thighs cut a little lower, and pull them up an inch or two, you'll both shorten the gap between the thighs and cod, and open up the space between your thighs and your calves, making it easier to walk (and get up stairs). Not a lot. Just an inch or so and you'd be a lot more comfy, and look better. Unless, of course, you can actually pull them higher right now, without cutting. Again, I also recommend you try on a snugger under suit. Trust me, it'll look really good, and it'll feel better too

Looks good. Definitely have a look at that left side gap. It's weird because your right side practically overlaps, so you can definitely close that up. Try using webbing instead of elastics to close that side, maybe. It should keep it pulled in tight. Also, your undersuit is a little baggy in places. You might want to consider a smaller size. Otherwise, looks really good. Nice job!!

Hi troopers! I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. As you may have noticed, I am relatively new to the Legion, but please don’t let that distress you. I still clearly remember how hard it was starting out, but I also care deeply for my sisters and brothers in the Legion. Trust me when I say, I am quite passionate about this detachment in particular. Just like most of you, I have spent most of my life wanting to wear the armour, wanting to be a stormtrooper. Finally being accepted into the Legion truly was, one of my greatest days. I expected that to be the height of the experience, but I was wrong. As I got to know other members, I cannot describe how much more there was to love. We truly are a family, unlike any other organization I have ever been a part of. I’m gushing, but if you’re already a member you know what I’m talking about, and if you’re not . . . work to make it happen. Work hard! It’s worth it. Like you, I am a stormtrooper. When I see other stormtroopers in the media, raising money for charity, “doing good”, just being cheeky, or making a child’s wish come true, it warms my heart. Not just to see the good, but to have been a part of it, because I am a stormtrooper. I am *a* stromtrooper. What one of us does, reflects on all of us, and we do some pretty awesome stuff. I don’t want to get too sentimental here, but I want you to understand my reasons for caring about the FISD and why you should believe I want to make it the best detachment it can be, for all of us. You are a stormtrooper, or you plan to be one, and this is your home. Hopefully you feel as I do, so we can do this together. If you want to talk to me, please PM me. I don’t know what response to expect, so hopefully I won’t be overwhelmed. I will do my best to get back to you in a timely manner. If you have an idea, or a concern, PM me. There is some debate between French Blue and Mediterranean Blue (Humbrol #48) for the tube stripes. French Blue, however, seems to be the consensus for the ab plate buttons. I think it might be best for you to list both and let people decide. Your list could be taken as objectively definitive, when some things are subjective choices. It is often suggested that neither colour is the original/quite right. Here's a Billhag image that appears to be newer than the one most often referenced. I used the Mediterranean Blue on my tube stripes, but it's definitely a personal choice. I just wanted to point this out, as it might save some newer recruits the confusion I suffered, when trying to decide.

I get asked why I'm so serious a lot. Also, good answer to "Aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper?" is (if they're a guy), "Aren't you a little hairy to be a princess?"

10mm for the Chicago screws. Tony, what do you mean by, "the liner strapping should rest just above the top of the helmet"? I'm not sure I follow. Then again, I'm not doing it, but I thought it might be a typo and need clarifying for anyone following those instructions.

Thanks! I'm not sure. I can measure later, but given where they're sitting and relative to the strap size, I'd say 8-10mm. Let me measure though. That said, I don't believe there is a strict rule on their size. Just type of fastener.

If the bucket is so small that you can't wear pads, then just line it with something soft. If its too big for just lining it, use a couple pads. If its right in between, wear a balaclava with a bandana underneath for cushioning. There's always a way.

I used a heat gun and bent mine with my thumbs. Mine was cut from a welders shield, but should work the same. Just lightly heat, bend, check. If not enough, heat again, bend again.

Hey, I was just looking over your build and I noticed you mentioned replacing your tube stripes with paint (or painting over them) for Centurion. As you know, I painted mine, but this is NOT necessary. The tube stripes are the one part that does NOT need to be hand painted (or use hand painted-like decals). Not trying to discourage you, because it'll look great, but just in case you don't want to do it just now. Just one less thing for you to worry about! From the CRL . . . Tears/traps shall be hand painted or use decals that emulate hand painted (with correct ANH TK details).

Will your head fit through turned sideways (like when you put on your bucket)? Also, I know people are deathly afraid of heat guns, but you could use that (just be careful!). Or you might not even need heat at all. Just bend them a bit by hand, gently and slowly over time. It's ABS . . . it'll eventually bend. Especially that part since it's thin. I'm pretty sure that's all I did . . . maybe after blasting for a few seconds with a heat gun.
