I'm not thrilled, but the helmet is growing on me. So long as I get 501st as a standard TK, IDGAF about the series. Who knows, I might just buy a bucket and add it to the collection. I won't go full-armor, but I'll buy a made-up bucket for sure.

So far, I haven't ordered from AP, but when I do order armor, it'll be from them. The pricing is a little high, but for one they are VERY forthcoming, and they accept payments. I haven't spoken with ATA, which is the flaw in my argument. But so far my experience with AP has been absolutely reassuring.

Any further info, please pass it on.

I'm pretty excited frankly. As I said, it's growing on me. Now that I know what's up with it, I'm pretty pumped.

So from the pictures I've been seeing, we'll be getting a different TK design with the new series. Is the 501st going to allow this design to be accepted? I don't like the helmet, but it's growing on me.

So...can we get a kit that wouldn't get 501st approval, and work it into a DT?

What will I have to do to AP once I get it?

So to be absolutely sure, what's on TKboots is for sure 501st-allowed?

So far I think I'm going to go with AP. His armor looks good, and the price is fairer than RS. I think he takes payments too!

How is AP's pre-assembled kit? What all do I have to do?

Yeah that's what SDS told me themselves. I'm in the process of getting ahold of another maker for my kit.

Well to start, is his helmet good? What's required to finish it if I opt for an "Assembled one"

Hi guys, I'm looking into my first set of armor, and I like the SDS "battle spec" line. It's a little closer to a price range I can actually reach, but before I jump, I want your opinions on the line. Is it good quality, or worth the investment? I'd kill to get some of RS's hero setup, but at $2k, that's not happening unfortunately. I've also emailed AP, and like what I see, though I'm a bit confused on how his stuff is shipped. Any opinion is welcome.

Thanks for the tips. I shot an email over to my GML Hopefully we can get the ball rolling. A question, can you wear the helmet with glasses, or should I look into having the eye lenses replaced with prescription lenses. Size and coloring isn't an issue. I just don't want to hate life when trooping you know.

Hi guys, as you know from the intros, I'm new, which is both a good thing, and a bad one. I need some help. I've been wading my way through the recommended forums about who to, and who not to buy armor from. I know to stay away from ebay, amazon, etc, but I don't know who specifically to buy from, what price point, etc. I'm not worried about sizing, as I'm the size, right to the pound, of the UK actor who the kit was modeled after. 5'10, 150 pounds (Thanks to my mother for the English blood) I've looked at several sites, and was shocked at the pricing. I've heard that original stormtrooper was a ripoff, so who else can build a full-kit that's ready to go out of the box, and won't make me sell my beloved GTO to own it? I wish I had the ability, and the time to mod a kit, but that's not my present situation. Any help here is most welcome!
