  1. Armando, FREAKIN' SWEET BUCKET!! It will go NICELY with your E-11!!
  2. Hey Troops, I noticed that I wasn't getting forum reply or PM notices a few days ago, but I fixed the issue by going into my hotmail settings and making SURE "forums@whitearmor.net", and "admin@whitearmor.net" were added to my "safe list", and I added a sorting filter to put my Star Wars related messages into my "501st" folder that I made. My hotmail now works just fine! Here's the step by step process to add the FISD to your safe list for hotmail: 1. Click on "options" in the upper right corner. 2. Under the "Junk e-mail" heading click on "Safe and blocked senders ". 3. Under "Safe and blocked senders" click on "Safe senders". 4. type in "forums@whitearmor.net" into the box on the left side underneath the heading "Sender or domain to mark as safe". 5. click the "add to list" button just to the right of the info box, you should see "forums@whitearmor.net" in the "Safe senders and domains" scroll list on the right side of the screen, and that should do it. Here's the step by step process to remove FISD from the blocked senders list: 1. Click on "options" in the upper right corner. 2. Under the "Junk e-mail" heading click on "Safe and blocked senders ". 3. Under "Safe and blocked senders" click on "Blocked senders". 4. in the scroll list on the right side, highlight "forums@whitearmor.net" by a single left-click. 5. click the "remove from list" button to the left of the list. Here's the step by step process to set up a filter to automatically sort your email messages: 1. Click on "options" in the upper right corner. 2. Under the "Customize your mail" heading click on "Automatically sort e-mail into folders". 3. Click on the"new filter" button in the upper left corner. 4. Under "Step 1: Which messages are you looking for? ", in the drop down boxes (from left to right) select "from address", "contains", and enter "whitearmor.net" in the last box. 5. Under "Step 2: Where do you want to put these messages?" click on the radio button next to the folder you want as the destination for the email. 6. Click the "save" button in the lower right corner. Doing all three of these steps EXACTLY as I have outlined SHOULD take care of your hotmail issues. (At the risk of sounding like a jerk...) Since I took the time to draft these instructions in an easy to read and follow format to make it "so easy a caveman could do it", PLEASE do NOT, NOT, NOT PM me asking for help on this, because I will NOT reply to them. Hope that helps!
  3. LMAO... not as odd as talking into your cod piece!!
  4. I'm 40 and I think the shiz that the kids today listen to is for weenie-bum mommy's boys... I like a wide variety of music (mainly aggressive angry male stuff) EXCEPT for Rap music.... you can't spell cRAP without RAP!! Going out to my workshop and cranking aggressive music as loud as is practical while building stuff helps release the pent-up RAGING ANIMAL in me without going to jail for seriously hurting somebody... <_< Just to name but a FEW of my favorite (aggressive angry male) bands in my EXTENSIVE MP3 collection: Godsmack Saliva KoRn Econoline Crush Fear Factory Pantera Skrape Static-X Spineshank Stuck Mojo Rob Zombie Rage Against The Machine System of a Down Rammstein Mudvayne Linkin Park Filter Flaw Faith No More Slipknot Motley Crue Ozzy / Black Sabbath Drowning Pool Fuel Accept Alice In Chains Judas Priest Disturbed Extreme Queensryche
  5. This website has the most info (that I know of) on all the variations of E-11 blasters... http://www.partsofsw.com/
  6. Ian, Unless you have a parent or legal guardian that is a member of the 501st, the answer would be almost ALWAYS "no" for an under aged person to troop. The reason being, if its an INFORMAL troop and some of the members bring their children when its appropriate, THEY incur the liablity if something happens to their kid(s), but it's more of a case of the kid's causing an issue due to "immaturity", and a minor cannot be "sued" for neglegence in a civil case, but their PARENTS can be for that minor child's behavior. I'm not saying that YOU would misbehave, but "stuff happens", and if the 501st allowed minors to troop then they would be be exposed to being held liable for any actions of neglegence or malice, so... there you have it. One more thing to condsider... many times children are not brought to a trooping event BECAUSE this hobby is one way for the adults to put their "real worlds" in the drawer for a while to "get away from it all" and kids (at times) can be another source of added frustration during a troop making it just "another job", instead of it being something fun for adults.
  7. Alex, Those Hovi-Mix aerators look AMAZING!! Where did you get those? I think that is some STELLAR armor, the ONLY thing I would adjust is the sniper knee-plate upwards as it looks like it pivoted down a bit on the two outter rivets / fasteners.
  8. LOL... I have a FEELING this trooper may be referring to some Pacific Northwest Event and perhaps trooping it... since wild salmon run aplenty in Canada, Washington, and Oregon.
  9. As far as the TE - GF - Gino dispute: "Everyone is justified in their own eyes." Only those involved can resolve their issue, and ther's no sense in taking sides in a years old dispute anyway, unless you are sitting on a jury in court. Now don't get me wrong, I agree with you guys on the primo fees for armor.... I just can't quite bring myself to spring for the asking price of the more accurate armors out there BECAUSE I know the following; After the initial investment of acquiring a master and making the molds, it doesn't cost a whole lot in materials, and once you have a systematic process down, not a huge amount of time to crank out armor parts by the scores. If ever I get into this aspect of prop building (I'm into fabricating WEAPONRY, see E-11 blasters... LOL) I most likely would be asking around slightly more than half of what the current prices are for accurate armor. There's nothing wrong with making a fair profit for your time and operating expenses, but like any market... supply and demand will gauge the asking prices. Since there is an increasing number of talented individuals/groups making this stuff the competition will further drive prices down, and it will be more of a matter of having a good reputation and customer service that will keep troopers coming your way instead of the others, so.... playing nice, and being somewhat civil and congenial with folks will be a factor as well. The "arrogant" armor master days are coming to a close, again this is a plus for the SW prop-loving community, that's why I can live without having UBER ACCURATE armor for the time being.
  10. WOW... I JUST NOW saw this thread tonight and read through the WHOLE THING in one setting... I don't read the forums for a few weeks and everything comes UNHINGED!! That final conclusion about TE's armor lineage basically about sums up what I was able to piece together over the last two years from reading "this and that" in many a dark corner of the internet. FYI- Since it HAS come up before... If anyone doubts that Matt has been in the LFL archives; I personally saw some of the photos he took of all that good stuff while at his house a while back when I delivered twenty sets of custom made Hovi's to him. (I believe the DAY BEFORE his wedding!) OFF TOPIC (a bit)- Contrary to the way Matt can come off in the forums sometimes, he's actually a pretty friendly guy, who was quite gracious enough to me and was willing to show and share quite a bit in answering some of the questions I asked. Just ask yourselves one thing; IF you were Matt and were widely regarded as THE ONE who made TK armor available to the masess, with everyone "wanting" something from you, not really being interested in "you", just your killer armor and perhaps feeling like you got ripped off by more than a few people (not directed at Gino!) over time, wouldn't YOU charge premo fees for armor, and be a tad on the cynical side too? * TE, best of luck to you and the Mrs. in that child custody thing!
  11. And you tholught I was just another pretty face....
  12. Here's my current rig, it's a scratch-built fan sculpt made by a VERY talented friend of mine. Although its not UBER accurate, I think it looks pretty nice all the same. (Just copy and paste them if you want to use them.) One guy liked it so much he decided to modify the 501st Seal and insert my armor into it so he could get it tattooed on himself!
  13. Ha Ha.... Mr. No Stripes!! How about Mr. No Stripes/Aerators instead? (but hot-dam his E-11 blaster makes up for it!! ) OK, OK.... back on topic!!
  14. LOL.... yeah well don't be surprised if you see some wise-butts submit to Thomas S. and local GML's and try and say, "hey... here's three visual references from OFFICIAL sources, you HAVE to approve my duct tape and medical gauze!!"
  15. Man.... "screen accurate" armor really looks like crap!
  16. ZZZZZzzzz.... snort, yawn... Yeah, what Butah-Bruddah said!! ....zzzzZZZZZ
  17. ZZZZZZzzzzzzzz...............
  18. ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...................
  19. ***OFF TOPIC*** (sorry) OT, huh? Over Time? Over Top? Original Trilogy? I've had that knife for years, and I don't remember where/how I got it.... sorry! It's shaped like a Japanese Katana blade and its all black including the blade.
  20. Well I haven't modded any of my gear like this, but look what I did last Halloween.... And I didn't even hurt myself... see? I'm still smiling.
  21. Thanks Paul, That bucket looks FANTASIC!! Are you sure the muzzles of the E-11's should be covered with that banner?
  22. um... is it me or is the logo missing from this thread, or is ther a link to view it? I WANNA SEE THE OFFICIAL NEW BABY!!
  23. I prefer to style my armor rig in the ANH flavor! I also prefer the look of the stunt helmet because it looks more like a snarl. The hero's frown looks more like a little kid going, "HMMPPH"!! (to me anyway)
  24. IMHO I don't think a TK should wear a pauldron to canon events, because it's not in any of the movies. Like it's been stated above, it's YOUR costume wear it how you like at non-canon events. I'm MEPD deployed and I can tell you that a LOT of work goes into getting a TD rig qualified for deployment. Now if you'll excuse me... I'm on my coffee break! ------------
