Thanks for the motivation guys! I started some sir cut training. This week and got some cigarette patches from the girlfriend but I dropped that after I noticed it intensified my cravings so I figure best way to do it is cold turkey and replacing smoke breaks with work out breaks. I'm ordering my bucket tomorrow as an incentive to keep it up and then order my armor. I will post an update when I see significant results.

Well just to be on the safe side I am ordering an AP helmet tomorrow. I would really love an NE bucket but I can't seem to track one down. And I would feel bad asking another trooper to part with theirs. Armor is like a baby. A baby you can wear. I can see it being hard to part with any piece of armor.

So does that mean the AM helmet will also be Legion approved? The attaché here for the Inland Empire said I would be better off getting an AP helmet but I would rather get it all together so I won't have to worry about color difference or extra money for a separate bucket.

We should get every trooper on the FISD to sign a petition so EA will release an HD version of the first two games this year while we wait for the third.

I was also told to look into getting an NE helmet but someone told me that they don't sell kits anymore. Where would I go to find one?

This makes me want to forsake all my bills and just buy my armor now. Who needs a car or a roof over their head!?

So I've decided to go the AM route since I am taller and they include extra material for shims (I grew out these last few months). And I got some advice from another trooper to order a different bucket than what they offer. I need a bucket that is 1) able to fit this big coconut I call a head 2) is easy on the wallet and most importantly 3) easy to build. Painting the thing I figure I could just follow some pictures but now I need to find one that's easy and accurate. AP and CAP were referred but the assembly scares me since I am not experienced with tools of the non musical variety. What should I do? Help me FISD, you're my only hope!

Here's an observation from a fat dude: you guys look totally bad a** in your armor. I'm probably starting from the highest point here at 300 lbs. Just started back on my work out regiment of boxing and cardio every other day. Dropped the ball for two months while I was between jobs and old habits came back to bite me (smoking being one of them, but I'm working on dropping that habit too.)so hopefully by the time I get my armor I won't have to shim the hell out of it.

There's a trooper on instagram that goes by the name of mr.no stripes. He goes trooping in that bucket and he picks out different examples from ANH with nice close ups.

I found the christmas special at a thrift store in the form of a bootleg asian dvd. Thought to myself, "hey one buck ain't so bad." That's a dollar I wish I had back.

I'm thinking of using a Pelican case. Anyone have any insight on what size to get?

As a bigger trooper I am going with AM but I hear the helmet needs extra work to be 501st approved. Does anyone know what kind of work that is?

I am to the point of tears right now. I'm currently saving up the funds for armor and I'm reading all these great stories that I'm just jealous of everyone that they get to play in their armor. Can't wait to place my order with Rob and join the ranks.

I'm a bigger guy and I'm split between two options. I'm 6'1" and weigh 300 lbs. So I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on which armor would be a better fit with the least amount of work. I'm not too handy so if you know if either of these suppliers can ship the armor ready to wear that would be better.

Would Under armor shirt and pants be acceptable? And would it be Legion approved?
