Thank you all! Whew! What a journey. Everything we do these days is on the backs of those troopers that came before us. I did months of research while waiting for my armor to arrive. Everything incorporated into my armor is based on the knowledge of all of you guys. It really is. This group is amazing. I am proud to be part of it. Now if I could impress my teenage daughter enough to have her stop rolling her eyes. Yessss I already bought a badge for my shirt. Only now I can put it on!

paint in the black first. Just worry about the outside edge is smooth. Then the gray fill leaving a thin black outline. This way you only have to worry about the outside edge of your painted line. See my build thread page 16 for the right side closure & alignment tab thingy. Page 18 shows how I have switched out the fabric hinge for a rubber piece that seems to hold the two halves much better. You have the making of a centurion build here, don't stop at EIB. Ok, my OCD wants to reach out and pull and twist your armor. Can I throw in just some simple ideas that will make your armor spectacular... Edit: MORE spectacular! I would shorten the shoulder bell straps to bring the tops of the shoulder bells up to your shoulder bridges. Also mount the strap slightly forward to help bring the bells naturally forward. As was mentioned your biceps need to be rotated which will also rotate the bells forward closing up the gap between bell/chest. Now, this a pet peeve OCD thing of mine. "Knock-knees". Almost everyone has KK armor (see you bucket off photo). Put some foam in the bottom outside of your thighs to bring them back to center over your knees. The difference in the look is astonishing . Also foam behind your thigh to pull it back so the knee plate doesn't get stuck under the thigh. Check the left and right side gaps/overlaps of kidney/ab plates. On the right you can glue in a tab and slot deal that locks the two pieces in perfect alignment. Ok hope I don't make you dizzy but your armor is just too close to perfect not to OCD all over it ! My EIB review: I chickened out on making the tears on my bucket larger as suggested. I think the "I will mess them up if I go at them again" far outweighs any advantage in a larger size. White foam is purchased at craft and art stores such as Michaels. It is a sheet about 11"square (?) and 1/8" thick. It is made of a type of foam and is sort of soft and a little bendy. You can cut pieces to wrap around your arms and legs. You can cut pieces to make chest armor and the belt and other parts. HOWEVER I hate to be a poop but it is not very easy to do this. It takes a LOT of time and research online for White Foam Stormtrooper Armor. If you think you can spend most of the rest of your summer to make this and really be detailed you can make a nice suit in time for Halloween. The helmet you have to buy. Think about it before you start. It is a big deal kind of project. It will take some money too. Good luck!!! Hope to see you suit up someday even if it is in the future!
