  1. If you need to take updated photos, make sure your legs/feet are straight, toes pointed forward. I think the angle of your feet and therefore legs over exaggerates the angles too. Straighter legs would put the join in the middle more I think
  2. Awesome. Thanks for that. Should work a treat.
  3. Would anyone have a nice image/word/pdf of a Blastech E-11 plaque type sign that I could print and put next to my blaster. Have a big con this weekend that my blaster is going to be displayed at. A sign to tell the public what it is would be nice
  4. Yep, plenty of happy MTK customers. Ooh, look at my signature, a MTK build link
  5. Thanks Tino. 363 days display. But the main reason I built it was for the 2 days of our annual Brick Fest. I thought it would be fun to troop at a Lego Show with a Lego prop.
  6. Thanks mate. Any chance you could whip me up a hollow core lego scope?
  7. I will be ordering some flat pieces for the T-Tracks, but apart from that, I'm calling it done. Now to work out what bits I need to glue (Shhhh), so it doesn't fall apart in my hands
  8. Talking to Andy, he was confused about the images you posted showing some form of webbing/strapping that he wasn't sure if it was a sling or not. It was obviously something else, part of the mannequin, or costume strapping or something.
  9. Googling for the last 20mins, I'm guessing the E-11 has NO sling, whereas the E-22, E-11D and DLT-20 do/may have slings
  10. So, back to Andy's question. Irrespective of what it is called, is there any more references to the new E-11s with the sling? Might have to watch the movie again!
  11. E-11B Blaster For 501st approval: Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster. Tactical flashlight (Surefire scout M300 or replica) mounted on right side of barrel. Magazine shall be full length. E-22 Blaster For 501st approval: Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster. Tactical flashlight (Surefire scout M300 or replica) mounted on right side of barrel. Similar to standard E-11 Blaster with extended stock attached and a second lower barrel. There is the 2 CRL definitions. I say the standard E-11 is definitly being called the E-11B
  12. What are we calling this E-11? I believe Andy is referring to this 'standard' E-11 with front side flashlight, but essentially an E-11. Not sure what it is called. Possibly an E-11B. Correct Andy? Not the Deathtrooper blaster, nor the Shorey's double decker blaster
  13. A few more pics and progress. Trigger, Trigger guard and selector switch (3 hole technic pieces in the main body are to mount the Magazine and Counter. Rear sight, end cap release and D-Ring And Folding stock The stock could certainly be improved, but good enough for now. Completed pics next...
  14. TBH, probably not. A lot of the build has just been using whatever bits I had around the house. If I were to order every bit new, I would probably do it totally different. Little things like using a 12dot piece instead of a 6dot, 4dot and 2dot, cause that's all I had. I have taken and will take some more photos though so anyone can see the basics of how it went together.
  15. Thanks guys. Yeah, I think I'll order some flat pieces. Looks better to me too. Thanks buddy. Always looking to do something different
  16. LOL, I'll let you know when I meet someone like that. It is nice to have a decent 1:1 E-11 beside me to match scale and placement as much as possible though
  17. Trigger. Decided to go NO moving parts for simplicity and strength Hengstler Counter Magazine and Power Cylinders (not super happy with the hinge set up between housing and magazine at the moment. Will look at changing that) Better view of the T-Tracks. Still to decide on flat vs dots
  18. Thanks everyone. More pics soon..... Good idea. Can never be too sure. Don't worry, my half built prototype was multicoloured too until I ordered all the extra black pieces from lego.com
  19. After seeing a trooper make a super basic rubbish looking blaster at an interstate Brick Expo, I got inspired to make my own for our upcoming Expo. Of course, I had to make it as accurate as possible (with the pieces I had or knew of at least) A few rough sketches and part builds, I ordered a random bunch of black lego And started putting bits together. Started with a strong technic section in the middle as a base Lots of black angle bits make a barrel More make a handle And more black bits make a scope Which gives me this as a base to start the details After getting the basic shape and design done, I then had to rip it all apart to work our where and how to add the details. Front muzzle Muzzle and front sight Rear 'D' Ring And adding those little hinge things to support the T-tracks into the main barrell Bayonet lug T-Tracks. Still not sure whether I go dots on top, or swap all of them over to flats. Going to need to order more flat pieces if I go that way And Scope rails (sorry, crappy pic. I'll get a better one later) Any tips or suggestions from any pro-lego builder is always appreciated
  20. And if there's anything not right, go back to RS Props. Our Garrison just had a member knocked back on basic approval cause RS stuffed up. They are coming god with repairs/replacements though.
  21. Make sure you sign up on the Redback forums and make yourself known there. Not sure if they have any local makers that way, but their advice and that here will steer you in the right direction. As a general rule, if they have a 'shop' (apart from RS Props) or are on eBay, stay away.
  22. Welcome Shaun369. As your first post was linking to a Toy Shop selling SDS armour I would seriously look at the threads Chris mentioned above. You can do soooo much better for less than half that. Looking at Aussie websites, are you in Australia? Where from?
  23. Looks like a "little" gap to me. Or is that defined as a "large" gap. For level two certification (if applicable): Thermal detonator belt clips are positioned with little to no gap between the clips and the end caps. But rough Pete.... Great looking armour. Have fun trooping!
  24. Jeez, no stormtrooper option?
