Good to hear you've done it. It's just this picture that seems to have that crack/edge thingy: click to view it in full size or it wont show because of the resize, at least here with my resolution.

Everything looks fine in my opinion and I think you are Elite ready... hope so . Only thing I would like to put my finger on is that it looks like you have the MR CE helmet and you havn't filled the gap/crack thingie..... check this picture to see what I mean... on the pic it's filled with the red stuff: I think I read that it's required. You just need to put some white stuff there and smooth it out with your finger. But I'm new here so don't take my word for it.

I got some unwanted holes too, I just put some tiny pieces of thin tape on top of them and put some white paint on the tape. Worked nicely , could put a thin coat of glue over the taped/painted area to make it all stable incase something someday would happen to touch/scratch the area.

That's my thing, making people giggle. I'll dance a bit... not saying I'm a dancer, just moving around a bit as it's entertaining to watch a stormtrooper do these things.

Yeah, I know and will not risk it. I will be a calm and cool stormtrooper. Hoping for people to come up to me and take photos and stuff... but riding a bus I will have to do sometimes.

Well, I for one are not gonna show my face, but I'm hoping to be on youtube as I will do funny stuff. Gonna get a buddy to record me while I go to macdonalds and order food, gonna ride a bus, people will be like, wtf? I'm gonna scare kids and hump stuff.

Holy crap, once again I made a goofy misstake. For some reason I got confused with the box straps and the leg straps.. omg, sorry . I need to get a drink . Guess my mind is a bit clouded by all the excitement going on for me here. Still waiting for my canvas belt, buttons, fan and the best one: my helmet, but just sent it so will be a while. Yeah, sorry, I made a misstake . And didn't know the folding stock also turned out to be the shoulder thingie, thought more it was something you folded out to put on the ground to better shoot while lying down... like snipers. Ahh.. can't wait to troop.

Yeah, you should never reveal your face, it sort of ruins the mystery and coolness factor imo . Not even if you are really good looking, unlike the guy that reveals his face to that Triumph the dog, think most people have seen that video , it's everywhere. Here it is anyway: -------------

Oh, so the thingie under the barrel on my gun is a folding stock? Silly me , thought a folding stock was those things on the back which you have against your shoulder when shooting. I agree, ABS look better than fabric, colorwise and all, but don't have any. So, fabric will be a temporary solution. I'll see what I can find. Well, these guys are elite and I see no white elastic on any of them http://www.whitearmor.net/elite/... ok, now looking more closely, I see 3 of them that have white elastic, but others clearly have black. Maybe these pictures were taken before white elastic was a must.

My gear meet most of the Elite requirements. These things I'm missing and I wonder where I could get them. Blaster Details * Folding stock (does not need to function) * D-Ring on the end Is really a folding stock required?, as none of the people in the elite approved screenshots have one on their blaster. Side gaps must be closed. * ALLOWED: Currently the use of a non-plastic shim is allowed to fill the gap. This is the least preferred method and may be dis-allowed in the future.Ideally the ab plate and kidney plates should touch, though at this time the use of a spacer or shim is permissable. This should be easy to fix, by just getting some white fabric somewhere locally. I read threads where they say you need white straps for the drop boxes, correct?. Shouldn't be as I've seen screenshots of approved elites having black straps (black looks better so I hope it's ok). Sorry if I missread something somewhere and are totally wrong, I'm just asking nevertheless .

Well, you know... they put dogs to sleep that has bitten or killed someone, shouldn't be different in this case, it killed your armor. I understand it's not a person, but hey.... it's just not an acceptable behaviour!

Well, first of all, no matter how serious the problem is, no one should post the entire message in captial letters, it's just annoying, at least for me. As for you problem, I can't do more than giving you suggestion of what I would have done... I would have killed the dog.... but that's just me I guess.

You should be able to put it on without help. I put on my stuff in this order: shoes cod+butt (joined togther) bottom leg parts top leg parts neck cover chest+back+shoulders (joined together) upper arms helmet gloves lower arms glove pieces done... takes about 3 mins solo... when I have recieved my new helmet, belt and buttons and finished my armor, I'm gonna record a vid of me putting it all on and place it on youtube. If you check youtube there are already more than 2 videos of people putting on their armor. It varies from person to person.

Mine can't be higher up, or it will crush my balls, it's all tight right now. So, I guess.... cutting those two pieces makes little difference.

Yeah, it's like that the movies have it, but I don't care for accurate, only that it is "friendly" on me and look good. Don't like the look of the back when people have cut theirs, they all have a huge, visible crack in their butt plate (that's another funny one, no?.., crack in the but so to speak ). I would have covered that up with a white leather piece on the inside to make the crack less visible, donno why others don't. Will think about it, but wouldn't mind more comments on this, and the canvas belt.

I would like to know what your experience with the "bend over" mod (cutting the front and back pieces in two). Did you get significantly more flexibility in leaning forward? Just thinking about it my brain tells me that only the front pices should need cutting, not the back piece. Ie; cutting back and front gives 30% extra bending over flexibilty... cutting only the front should also just give 30%, could this be right or wrong?... meaning the back piece doesn't do make any difference whether it's cut or not. If now you DO get a much better result in leaning forward with this mod, my brain tells me that using the ABS plastic belt would HINDER leaning forward, correct?.....or maybe just hinder by a tiny bit?. Now... if this mod really do make you able to bend over nicely, would it then be recomended to get the Canvas belt?, as to me it would seem using this belt instead of the ABS one would make it easier to bend over, correct? Although there is a "mod" in the title and ehm... it's actually a question about this bending mod, I find this thread to be more suitable here in the "Armor and Helmets - General Discussion" forum rather than the mod forum, if this is wrong, feel free to move it. Sorry for my bad english , I find it hard to find the right words.

All I used for my FX armor when I got it was the stuff that came with the kit + masking tape and a power drill..... NO clamps....
