  1. Beautiful helmet Dan. I'm glad to see the tear drop dimple. Your attention to detail is right on. -John
  2. Thanks Paul, I agree. They're on my upgrade list. Right behind a dozen other parts.
  3. Ok, finally the technical difficulties are subsiding. Whew! Here's the picture I promised of the Dan111h2o size 13 boots. See what I mean by "Square in the Toe". What do you think of these? ---------
  4. Looking great! Sorry about the paint spill. I hate it when that happens. -John
  5. I shot mine with gray primer and then a clear coat. I used Duplicolor automotive paint from the auto parts store. It matched my helmet stickers really well. I've found its 100 times more durable than typical spray paint. Besides the clear coat I used is heat resistant to 500 degrees. Comes in handy when battling mandolorian warriors.
  6. I made a canvas belt based on a tutorial here on the forums. I found the best way to make the holes is with a soldering iron. The heat seals the the threads and burns through the ABS and elastic or nylon like butter. Be sure not to breath the fumes. One modification I made to the belt was to use 2 inch nylon strap instead of elastic. It makes the belt much more solid and still allows a minimum amount of give. So far it's working well.
  7. I think they look good. I counter sunk mine a little deeper which required a tiny bit of glue to hold them in. Since they aren't required to hold the ears on with the CE, they're just cosmetic, I don't see the need for nuts on the inside. Just my opinion. Besides, even if I had used nuts they would be covered up by the padding I'm installing. Do you guys really care about the nuts inside?
  8. PM me when you're ready. We'll work out the details. -John
  9. Thanks Tony. -John
  10. There you go. Lots of expertise here. Also it's another reason for Garrisons to get together. Weekly drill practice.
  11. We can only hope. I hope it's more exciting than the Young Indiana Jones series. I like history and details but I can't stay awake to save my life when I watch that show.
  12. Here's another option some guys are using. Check this thread ---------
  13. That's an awesome idea! Maybe we could make a basic training video to distribute once the drill team gets going. There are a lot of basics that would be useful to everyone. Spacing, cadence, keeping step, etc. If we could get a top notch team together every parade would want us.
  14. That's cool. Funny thing is I have access to a first class video studio. If there's anything I can do to help you get this footage digitised just let me know. -John
  15. Something just occurred to me. There's a whole lot of conceptual work being done in this time frame between EP3 and EP4. "The Force Unleashed". I wouldn't be surprised if any possible stormtroopers in the storyline might be based off the work being done currently. You might see something like the EVO trooper. The designs are definitely a cross between EP3 and EP4. They have a little more of an EP3 influence though. Either way I hope to see some real armor and less CGI.
  16. Hopefully it will be true live "action". I'd hate to see more political intrigue stories based on a hard day in the Galactic Senate passing an appropriations bill. There's enough of that on TV already.
  17. Hey Mark, I'm sorry to hear about your near death experience. Thank God you made it. The world wouldn't be the same without your fantastic vinyl cut trooper accessories. Besides we would sure miss you at the FISD. Get well soon. I hope we can troop together some day. -John
  18. Fantastic Scott!!!! Praise the lord for sure. You guys take care. We'll keep praying for a speedy recovery. -John
  19. Those look great. Did you make your own mannequins or did you buy them?
  20. I heard it. Great interview guys.
  21. Hey Chris, do you have any pictures of your set up? I'm really interested in that Bolun wireless mic.
  22. Scott, all my prayers to Melissa and your family. Take care. -John
  23. Are you planning on milling your brow trim on the helmet? You might want to remove that and add it on as a true rubber brow trim. You should probably do the same with the Hovi's. It's looking better every time you post. -John
  24. Wow... I'm speechless. Looks like he's having fun but.....I wonder what the E-11 is recast from?
