  1. I was on 63, updated to 64 this morning but still can't post. Just via tapatalk. [emoji848] Sent from my Imperial Comlink
  2. I was trying to open a new topic to ask for help because I couldn't update my signature (this after the forum was down) but couldn't post too. I get the same error. Here's a pic of the error code. PS - Had to post this via tapatalk too. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  3. Name: Pedro Pessoa Item: (1) SHA hearing aids with speaker (9v operated) Number: 23 Thanx Tony for doing this!
  4. I mainly focus on ANH, as a personal choice of mine. I have: ANH Stormtrooper Hero ANH Tusken Raider Working on: Shoretrooper Squad Leader - 50% done Imperial Staff Officer (Commander Praji) - 95% done I'd also love to make a Willrow Hood just for the fun of it and a X-Wing Pilot. But money and space is a problem right now...
  5. Very cool artwork! Congrats to Peter and everyone who submitted their designs!
  6. If one feels that socks aren't really necessary with a full body undersuit then you don't need to use them, but if you feel more comfortable using socks, then go ahead. About being shiny or matte, the CRL mentions that regarding the undersuit it should be "Black non-textured material, either one-piece or two-piece construction with no visible zippers or logos/designs." So, since there's no mention to that detail, either way is good. Now common sense says that the ideal undersuit is something in between, that is, not too shiny nor too matte.
  7. So here's a shot of the new helmet, according to-------------
  8. Tk meets DZ meets ID

  9. They look fine to me and within CRL standards. I'm sure I'm not alone in this evaluation. Basically they are good for you to work on them and dye white.
  10. Dry brush all the way, that's how I did my DLT-19. It's easier, it's the best choice to randomize and the outcome is better, IMHO.
  11. I got mine from there but I was ill-advised by the former XO from my Outpost, even if I got a discount price on it. At the time I was new as you and wasn't aware of a long discussion about recasting and what not. When I got the armor I compared it with the armor from other members from my Outpost and I was a bit shocked. It had some flaws, quality wise was poor and the way it was built was just a messy work (I got it ready-to-wear cuz of the discount I got). Only when I got to FISD I understood the mistake I had done. Right then the chances to go for EIB or Centurion pretty much dropped to zero. Since then the CRL also saw some changes and updates, if it was difficult to try and fix it back then it got impossible today. Since money is somewhat of a problem right now, economic crisis yatta yatta, I have to suck it up and do my best to make the armor decent to troop. Through FISD I found out about TM (Troopermaster) and his work, it's just amazing! I have 1 ANH Hero Helmet done by him, and like everything he does, it's EIB and Centurion ready. That said, his quality work and the price you get for a full built armor, or a kit, is pretty much one of the best deals out there. Eventually I will get rid of my SDS (now original stormtrooper) and get the rest of the armor from him. That's a project I have on standby because I'll be working on a ANH Tusken during this year while I recover from my stormtrooper affair. The best you can do is to check the different build topics, decide which stormtrooper you want to do and, well, ask as many questions until you are sure on how to proceed. There's always someone around to help out.
  12. Sorry for replying in english, but although I understand french, it's not that easy for me to speak it, at least properly. I just want to say that is a great tutorial, specially the belt part, until today I never found a proper tutorial showing how to place the ABS on the canvas belt with actual photos of the process. I'm bookmarking this topic for future reference and to help others!. Fantastic work Diana! Congrats!
  13. Just to be on the safe side of things, me and 2 more TK's (TK-42084 and TK-24911) at the Outpost have our detachment status pending, can we lay back, wait for election day and be sure they will get approved during this the next week? Just double checking... To the one going through all the requests for approval I can only thank him/her for the all work during the next days!
  14. The difference here is that we're not riding bikes with these helmets (or at least we shouldn't lol), well not counting the scouts , so there's no sort of air/wind blowing into the helmet. But yeah, makes sense asking if one usually wears a bike helmet. Keep frosty!
  15. Requesting 501st Access for TK-23479. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=16250 Thank you in advance and happy holidays!
  16. I have Echo's Fan System, so the fans are blowing up. I prefer that way because the air will flow around the inside of the whole bucket, not just my throat, and at the same time It will also allow me to breathe better. I believe the other way, directly to the neck/chin or shooting down, the air wouldn't even reach my nostrils properly and I'd get a soar throat faster than I could breathe (lol), but that's my take on it... I really can't handle close and hot environments, so I need to feel the air straight in my face/nose. Echo's fan system has 2 fans but I've been using only one, since I find the air moves pretty good inside the helmet, at least during this time of the year. Still need to test it during the hot summer time. But yeah, fan shooting up is my choice!
  17. I totally agree with you, curiously that is the main reason I went with the Hero version, because of Han and Luke, best of two worlds in my modest opinion.
  18. I think Fredrik mentioned it following the guidelines for approval with the 501st of the Hero and Stunt version, 4 for the Hero and 2 for the Stunt, not really the movie.
  19. My DLT-19 mk3 is from doopys. I paid via paypal and had no trouble with them, any question I had I sent it by email and got an answer from Casey. Sometimes it just takes a while to get a reply but always got one.
  20. I often wonder how each person decides to go stunt or hero. Is it just because of lenses, holster and/or the options of wearing/using the SE-14R and/or Grappling Hook/Comlink or because the movies itself and the fact that, for the hero version, you had Han and Luke wearing a TK suit...
  21. Like Soren said Paul will answer any question/doubt you might have. He's been working on a ANH Hero helmet for me and could not be happier with how he answered my questions. Curiously that's one topic that never crossed my mind, but I never saw someone with interchangeable lenses, besides being a little big odd why someone would want to constantly change lenses... but that's me... The only thing I ever heard was people saying it's easier to troop with a stunt than a hero, but I think it's just silly! lol
  22. You will often find good examples of perfect ankle boots in black, since that's how most brands produce them, whoever you might adventure yourself in dyeing them white. There are plenty of topics on the forum about the subject. But yes, always better to ask first before spending money and then regret it.
  23. Welcome to FISD Amanda, Sorry to tell you, but they will not pass, the main problem will be the sole, it needs to be flat, both examples are not. You could try and look for Jodhpur/Chelsea-type boots. If you come out empty handed,TK boots are up and running once again. There might be a waiting list, as there is always someone looking for a pair. Here is a picture of what you should be look at: Things to look for: - White leather or leather-like - Above ankle height - Flat sole with a short heel, and small U-shaped elastic sections on both sides of the ankle - No buckles or laces whatsoever
