  1. Thanks Germain, its funny cause thats the EXACT move i always use to get mine on Rich thanks for the advice, i do have a slight gap there, but i find more than 5 minutes in the helmet and im steaming up, so i got one of echo's wonderful fans
  2. I have one more question, its been bugging me for a while so ive got to ask. How hard is the helmet supposed to be to put on? With my RT-Mod helmet the ONLY person i know who can out the helmet straight on is my 8 year old nephew, and its a very tight fit for him. everyone else needs to turn the helmet 90° sideways put it on then rotate it once on the head. Is this normal? dont get me wrong i knwo i have a big head, but when i cant find a single person over the age of 8 who can just put the helmet straight on....
  3. Germain, Thanks for the awesome info, im a little annoyed that i missed on the knee ammo belt now and riveted it too high, though for now i dont think i will drill out the rivets just yet. I think i may notch out the back of the knees though and im strongly considering the fan you linked me too. Again thanks very much
  4. So ive attached some pictures, i feel like the problem is mainly in the thigh armour, it just makes walking quite difficult. I also think i need fans for the RT-mod helmet, cause it does fog up very quickly, can anyone give advice or direct me to where i can find a fan solution or something for the helmet? Really any advice to improve mobility without sacrificing the look too much would be appreciated.
  5. So i ordered an RT-Mod, and first off, Rob is awesome, great suit i could not be happier (Also big thanks for the assembled helmet, it really let me feel like i had it mostly done out of the box) Hopefully tomorrow or the next day i will get a chance to update this thread with some pictures, but I was hoping for some general feedback. ive never worn a stormtrooper costume before, and im finding my mobility to be very low int he costume, and the helmet is kinda clausterphobic in that it steams up on me even wearing ti indoors for longer than a couple of minutes, i also find that stairs are very difficult to navigate. Is this a sign that i need to trim my thigh and calf armour?
  6. So im starting my first build, and ive got a couple of questions, ive looked around alot and could not find the answers to these so forgive me if ive missed the answers. For now my main two questions are 1) the trigger, should i be sanding this down to fit completely into the recess for the trigger? (seems obvious i know but once i sand down i cant put back on) 2) the folding stock, how do most attach this? do you just glue the entire thing to the underside of the barrel?
  7. Thanks for the feedback, i have tried the order again, hopefully this time it get fulfilled.
  8. Hi, I ordered a doopydoos kit on Nov 2nd and just last night i got an email saying my order was cancelled cause Nov 21st they stopped taking payments from google wallet. Are there any good alternatives to this or is there another secure way to order from doopydoos? ive got to say im a little concerned about ordering from them now as they took over a month to decide to cancel my order and ignored my emails when i requested a info on my order after i waited the first month for some sort of shipping notification etc... I dont know maybe i was being impatient but i thought waiting weeks for some kind of acknowledgement of my order was being fairly patient... any advice would be appreciated.
  9. Thanks for the reply, I am going to go with the RT-Mod, im already on the waiting list Now i figure ive got a good 6 months to build a blaster and then i should be ready for the arrival of my kit.
  10. Hi all, so like many here this is the location of my first post. First off I want to say thanks for an awesome thread, i came here looking as i wanted to buy a fully made costume but was hesitant on shelling out 1000 for something that i could not be sure would fit me, now i know there is so much more to a trooper costume. So im looking at two options, 1) being the AP set, the second being the RT-mod, im 6'2 220 lbs, and ive got a big melon, so im really leaning towards the RT-mod. BUT the anxious little kid in me would really like the costume before halloween and trooper7 has not replied to my email yet, and the AP guys were blazingly fast replying to me...... i know its only been a few days since i emailed him but does anyone know if he is still making kits? last but not least being located in Calgary AB, Canada id like to stick to someone local to avoid paying a couple of hundred at the border. Edit Oh yeah also on the topic of boots, what qualifies a boot as an elvis or mariachi boot?
