Painting my black Chelsea boots white
Logon replied to SorenM's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
it's [ img] [/img] or click the little picture in the editor ;D Nice boots! I see the paint worked on the textile as well! Does it want to crack or is it nice? Just got my boots and walked with them, the right boot fits like a glove, but the left one is hurting my little toe after walking for 30 minutes, something i should do? Or should i just walk around with them some more but tape up my toe. -

Does not seem to work, use Imgur or something -
Does anyone have a good place to see where the T-Tracks are supposed to be? Progress! Drilled a hole 11mm for the nut and 6mm below it for the screw so i didn't have to cut the screw at all. Nut Installed Affixed the nut using epoxy Also did some repairs using Epoxykitt(swedish atleast) Repair pics.

If you press too hard on a spunge and let go it will make bubbles i think the way to go is have paint on a platter or something and just dipping the spounge and just dabb not pressing it onto the boot at all. And maybe you where using an incorrect spounge? I would guess you want one that don't hold much liquid(like a kitchen spounge does) -

Thanks for the offer! PMed you! What did you have in mind that would work? The problem with the 3mm thick is that it's really hard bend it where you want. -
Fixed the bold so that it can be placed in the guide hole and be held in place by the bolt when slid forward. like so Also did the endcap lock Sorry for the blurry pictures

Hello! I started doing this build awhile ago but i really need a good place to ask specific questions about my build and show of what I've done. Workstation! First question! I am supposed to remove the middle part right? From what I've gathered i should but i want to be sure. Thanks for reading! Logon

Well that didn't work out.... It was entirely to thick to bend it in a good way so i used a hammer to bend it outward and then put it in a vice to bend it in again, the problem is that it was movable, but not straight and i was afraid i was going to ruin the resin piece so i cut it away not to hurt it. Guess i will have to buy a new ring -

huh... then i guess it will do that design is much easier as it does not require that big of a bend. -

Exactly but i don't think that'll do for centurion E11. Don't know the shipping from trooperbay but the rings are just 3$ -

Hmm, Where did you buy your endcap ring? The one i got with the kit would look silly. http://trooperbay.com/e-11-blaster-d-rings/ has them but buying from the US seems silly for something this common. Would it be too much to ask for measurements? wire diameter, width, and how broad it is and if you bought it at a metal shop or biltema or something. Best thing about it is that it's very simple and has a around 550 RPM with a proper gearbox(altho you need to change it manually but very easy) which is almost ideal for drilling in metal. -

http://www.jula.se/pelarborrmaskin-350w-254017 It was 499:- when i bought it a week or 2 ago up to 13mm it's perfect. One question how are you going to do with the ring on the end cap? I cannot figure out a good way, either cut off the entire "U" and glue it back together or try and bend the ring... Read another DVH thread and they got 2 holders but i only have one. -
I think the hole at the sight was 12.4mm and the "cooling" holes are 10.4mm
-
Either a stepper drill or different size metal bits The holes on a 38.1mm pipe is 10.4mm for the cooling holes. And to be honest don't think about using a hand drill buy a vertical table drill.

Did you order from http://angelusdirect.com ? And if so what did you give for shipping? Live in Sweden myself so if you've got a good place to buy it please share. Edit: Just ordered a pair of Loake boots from http://www.andersonsofdurham.com WELCOM10 or WELCOME10 is a 10% code (can't remember but i think it's the first) 149.95 GBP, 22 GBP shipping to Sweden. Maybe add that link to the OP because they seem to ship everywhere whereas the Loake site does not. Thanks, -
