  1. They chose a stormtrooper with no stripes? Did they not notice or not care?
  2. Let me rephrase - it matched 'my' tube stripes better.
  3. Does it matter if you used midnight blue? I chose that one because it matched the tube stripes better and I preferred the look
  4. Belt is done and all I have left for it is the TD clips. I also ordered some slate grey humbrol paint to make my frown and ears more screen accurate. I also need some Velcro to put on the backs of the shins and belt then it should be great. I'll get you all some pics once I wrap it all up!
  5. From what i've heard, people use Novus #2 to polish them.
  6. How anyone tried the stormtrooper voice changer on this? I like the sound of it. Is there a way to replicate that or do you automatically sound like that when speaking into an amp from out of the suit?
  7. For the eyes I scored along the edge then drilled some holes in them then cut the rough shape out. Then I snapped out the rest of it and sanded it down to about an inch. For the teeth I drilled one or two holes in each then shaped them with an exacto knife.
  8. I don't see why not. Give em hell, Nick!
  9. Indeed it did, just put on the boots with my thighs around the shins.
  10. That's the length of the detonator, right? How far in should the holes for the clips be from the side?
  11. Does anyone have the measurements for the Thermal Detonators? I need to know the size holes and placements for them to make it.
  12. I bursted out laughing when the belt flew off.
  13. Oh, and in addition to my earlier questions, does anyone know of a vendor that sells completed Thermal Detonators? Or if not that will take the part I have and assemble those?
  14. So in the wait time, let's consider some things. To use my ANH Stunt as an HWT I would just need a backpack, pauldron, mp40 pouch, and a bigger gun, right? And then a new helmet, handplates, and holster for an ESB.
  15. We can enlist as battle buddies.
  16. When this is all finished and kits are possible for sale, will it come with a more concise mode with just the two E-11 blaster modes and the radio chatter?
  17. Hey, I've heard that to put on armor yourself you have to put on your thighs, then boots, then shins. But the problem i run into is when i'm wearing my thigh armor i can't really bend my leg enough to reach the boots and get them on my feet. If I try the boots first I can't fit them through the thighs. How do you all do it?
  18. Any pictures of what it looks like while you're wearing it? You have light on the other side with those pics so you can see the holes clearly, i imagine its more subtle when you are wearing it.
  19. Same kind I have on the thigh belt?
  20. Talk to meeee, should I use cap or pop rivets for the belt assembly?
  21. Why would you want an FX?
  22. I'm so close to being done. The ab strapping is basically done. To-do: - Repair thighs and set up with thigh garters. - Add shoulder strap-shoulder bell elastic - Probably get some velcro and add it to the back of the shims - Make the belt - Get TK boots Also, what do you use the clean the helmet lenses?
  23. I tried using one of the old chest-ab straps on the cod piece but it makes it tight to the point where I can't really walk when its snapped. I'm going to add another strap or two along the right side to even out the spacing. The butt plate feels a little large. It lines up with the edges of the kidney plates when pressed down, but I dont have any straps doing that currently. I might ad an ab-butt strap to hold down the corners.
  24. The helmet stand was around 20 dollars unfinished I believe, I got it from hdtheater in the ongoing runs section
  25. Alright, so I have a quick and dirty preliminary strapping system set up. How do I get the measurements for the shoulder elastic and cod strap? I'll also probably add a second strap on the right side of the ab to hold it all together.
