  1. Awesome! Keep it up, your going to have a really nice Legacy TK here soon! You will not regret painting the inside of your helmet, this I promise.
  2. OMG this guide is just .... A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Your helmet looks great so far. Only two things I'd recommend besides what Derrek already hinted on...... (1) Trim more in the nose area of the lens. On the bottom where the bridge of your nose would touch. (2) Take your bucket back apart and paint the inside of the face plate and back plate flat black. Brush or spray paint. You can use a paper bag (without holes) and a lot of painters tape to make sure you don't paint the outside area. that does two things....... (A) Your bucket believe it or not will be cooler inside. and ( It will 100% conceal your eyes from being viewed from the outside. People will NOT see what your looking at. Keep up the awesome work!
  4. Don't sweat it guys. If you were 7'6" then I'd be a little concerned......
  5. I just finally saw this... hahahaha. That was a rookie mistake that I never corrected...
  6. Yeah I forgot to mention about the gap. Sorry about that. I used Lexan scissors too...... you can cut it with them.
  7. Yeah the visor needs to be trimmed down a bit to kinda emulate the shape of sunglasses. And sanding the insides of the eyes to make them even on the edge that touches the visor to make it flush. The visor itself will be forced against the eyes via where you drill the bolt hole attachment. You should go into the ANH TK build threads for a helmet build and check it out. It would be a lot easier to actually show you what I mean here... hahaha. Berbs42 can show you. I'd work on the actual armor some while you wait. Biceps and forearms and shoulders are really easy.
  8. See the eyes here. I could've taken more off in the corner too. Don't pay attention to the cruddy paint job. This is my fiancƃĀ©'s armor.
  9. Thats good that you have a local person to help. You need to cut more out of the corners of the eyes. Inside corners.
  10. Looks good so far. Just try and go slow & steady on your cuts. Also ground your wrist when cutting. (Prop it against the table or a solid object) It makes everything a bit more stable. Good luck and please ask questions if you have any. A lot of us here have constructed this armor set for the wifey's.
  11. Looks pretty good mate! I don't notice anything that slaps me in the face.
  12. This is my first time looking at your build thread. Everything looks great so far. In regards to your TD end caps, your fine. Centurion will not be a problem with the thickness you have there. You can see my TD in detail in my Centurion request post. Keep up the good work mate.
  13. Congrats on starting your journey into the TK! Everyone is overwhelmed at the beginning, your confidence will rise significantly after you construct a few pieces. Everyone is here to help you mate so post your progress and ask questions even if they seem silly to you.
