  1. Yes, I've heard it quite a few times. I'm 5' 8", but would love to sport the white armor at 5'10". I've thought about getting some 2" lifts for my boots. Has anyone had any experience with them, and maybe suggest a brand to get? Should I have a pair of boots a half size bigger for the extra height?
  2. I have a friend who really wants to do a Zam Wesell costume, but I've heard it is hard to come by. Does anybody know anyone who makes the costume or parts for it? Any good starting points or websites? Thanks in advance.
  3. I hand painted my lid and I have to say that that was my favorite and most rewarding part of my build. It looks really good hand painted. I used Trooperbay's stencils and they worked really well. I am not an artist by any means, but it was not difficult. Just be patient. Also, any stray paint "outside the lines" can be "scrapped away" and lines can be tightened using a toothpick.
  4. Looks pretty good. Missing a pull tab on the front, but I don't know if that would be a "deal breaker".
  5. Well said, Mark, and sorry for your losses. We are NOT guaranteed tomorrow, only given today.
  6. Yes...what happened? Karin, thank you for your contributions, advice, and opinions. I don't know what happened, but if it's one individual I would hope you would not let that person drive you away. I would hope that you would reconsider, but if not, you will be missed and I wish you the best.
  7. Looks good. Not sure if the right shoulder bell came unsnapped in the first picture, but I would think that gap needs to be closed up tighter. Good luck!
  8. The speakers to the ears are useless it seems, unless you plan on listening to music while you're trooping. There would have to be an external mic if you planned to use the ear speakers to hear what's going on around you.
  9. Thanks, everybody! It is an honor to serve among the elite of the Empire. SALUTE!
  10. Here are some images from the shoot. "> "> "> "> "> "> ">
  11. In case you didn't know, there is a book coming out that is Star Wars written in "Shakespearian" tone. A book trailer was filmed earlier this month in our area, and myself and two friends were asked if we would help contribute to the trailer. After watching the trailer, there were some obvious cut scenes....mine being one. Never the less, my helmet was used in the "Alas, poor stormtrooper" scene (yes, Paul, that's your famous handiwork displayed for the world to see). At least my name shows up in the credits. It was a fun experience regardless. http://shelf-life.ew.com/2013/06/28/william-shakespeares-star-wars-trailer/
  12. Thank you, again. It is an honor and I am very proud of the results. Paul does great work. Many thanks to him and all who have contributed through accessories, answers to questions, and constructive criticism. I could not have done it without the FISD. Troopers helping Troopers.
  13. Thank you! Lots of great info, people, and help went into that build. Very proud of it.
