  2. Don't worry Mike, no one is on your rear! We are all friends here!
  3. I started with a Hasbro and Doopys mod, and then the Doopys Full resin, and I am looking to do a real Sterling mod in the future...but the Doopys/Hasbro is great for the basics; Light weight, makes Pew-Pew noises...and most people don't know the difference...
  4. That stuff is usualli called "Plasti-Dip' sor something similar. That might work...and the real folding stock is on my "bucket list" for a blaster as well...
  5. Wow. I wish I could do this with the speed you have! Hopefully with my next set of armor...
  6. Wow, That is simple and brilliant. I was about to pull apart a $20 pair of Binoculars for the lenses, but that is so much simpler and more elegant! Thank you...
  7. Use some steel wire and polishing brushes on the Dremel and you should get a really nice finish on that Bolt Carrier...
  8. Absolutely go with the full resin kit. I actually did the Hasbro Conversion first, and i plan to do the pipe build later, But for accuracy, affordability and quality go for the Doopys. If you live in the US, buy from their eBay store for the easiest transaction... My Doopys Build http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=19500&hl=&fromsearch=1
  9. would you take the bolt carrier out and show us some detail of how you put that together Please?
  10. Our thoughts will be with you and your family. Is there anyone from the 501st there who could come and help as a translator to ease your burden?

  12. A real stock is on My "Bucket List" of Mods...
  13. Again, this one will need to be pinned. I think I would spend more time doing those pictures that I did building the kit!
  14. BEST. DAD. EVER. (PS. will you be selling those?)
  15. Outstanding photo. That should be pinned as a reference pic....There are several good build threads for these... here's mine...http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=19500&hl=&fromsearch=1
  16. Clever idea for the spring and bolt carrier! I may have to go back and try that on my next Doopys build...
  17. Wow. Great pics! Did you get any good pics of the rest of the exhibition? Montreal is about as close as the show is going to get to my area...so I am S.O.L. for seeing these myself...
  18. Wow. Insert Detroit joke here...but seriously, I am so sorry. I can vouch for the Doopys as well. I have received a lot of compliments on mine and I find it satisfyingly heavy...But I would also recommend a Doopys Hasbro conversion for trooping in those kinds of environs in the future. Less weight, is passable, and not as big a hit if some douchebag decides to make off with it...
  19. he's having issues with pauldrons as well. I ordered all black in early April, received black and orange, and have been getting "two more weeks" every two weeks for the black ever since...
  20. And rightfully so!
  21. I love this build. You are built a lot like me (6'0" 235lbs) and I am just getting ti the body armor...great thread! I have the "popeyeish" forearms as well...
  22. Hey Brian, would you be kind enough to post some detail/close-up pics of the interior of your armor (chest/ab, back/kidney/butt) please, when you get a chance?
