  1. I still don't think sewing it to a shirt is necessary.
  2. Cool in hindsite but......how do you wash your undersuit then if everything is sewn to the body suit? I leave my fabulous, as is Rhonda gaskets attached to the calves with velcroe and then attach it to the thighs when I'm ready to wear them. I added an elastic strap with a snap to the bottom of each shoulder gasket then snap them into the side of the AB/ backplate. Holds really well.
  3. I already paid for three from another builder and I hope they are as detailed and awesome as your build! If you start selling these I would be in for one or two.
  4. I would like 2 size smalls, 1 medium and 1 large added to my boot order. Thank you!
  5. Put me down for several pairs as well.
  6. He has a black vest on with what looks like extra ammo cartridges or mags.
  7. The first three are at CELEBRATION ANAHEIM the second three are from C2E2 in Chicago last weekend. For height comparison: Ted is 5'11" and I am 5'8".
  8. Hello Mark! The shoulder gaskets were the biggest issue as far as flexability was concerned. Mark helped me suit up the first day on Thursday and let me tell you putting it all on the first time took a long time! I wore my suit for about 6 hours each day for 4 days. With each day I modifed the strapping and the gaskets to make it much more comfortable to wear. I am 5'8" and 173 pounds and the armor fit me pretty good.
  9. Hello to All and fellow TFA Troopers! The gaskets were actually not suppose to be shiny. They are suppose to be a matt finish. The reason ours are a bit shiny is because Anovos went with a different material for durability. To reproduce the Gaskets in material will be easier. We are working on a material gasket that actually has well defined ribbing to give it that accurate look. Most of us,except for Paul who had those nice shiny material gaskets, can attest to not being able to touch your head. The rubber gaskets are already breaking down due to wear and tear from rubbing against the armor. I had to use my Dyson Vacuum cleaner to clean up the armor from the rubber powder all over the armor weher the gaskets meet the armor before apllying car wax to shine up the paint. I really think that as long as we can reproduce the exact look of the Gaskets with defined ribbing then the CRL should reflect that.
  10. I have no idea why rhe one photo went sideways on me.
  11. I'm 5'8" and my friend Ted is 6'0" and maybe a little taller. The armor parts are all the same size. The only issue was the shoulder gaskets. Also wd RATTLE CANNED our paint as well. It worked well considering we had to three weeks to build the armor from the kit.
  12. Fisd shirts second run

  13. After this event and a smile from ear to ear I went to work and had to put on my "Other Suit". On just 3 and a half hours of sleep, after I gave two Roll Calls to my JPD troops I sat in the Watch Commanders office thinking about how after almost 15 years in the Legion how everything has come down to a cause and an event like this. Legion members never cease to amaze me with how when a call for help goes out we are there to truly answer that call! No shootings last night, fights or domestics could have ruined Katie's Armor Day for me. This was epic and will always stand out as one of the best events in my life to see a child marvel at herself looking at her reflection in Gaza's glass patio door.
  14. This will be great to see the reaction on her face as she is surrounded by us in TK's and Vader.
  15. You are appreciated and won't go unnoticed!
  16. We started on Sunday with the rest of the the build at 0800 hours and finished at 0001 hours Monday morning! We spent all day at Steve Gaza's home toiling away to finish the Armor! Steve Gaza, Adriane, Steve and I worked late to get this done and at the end of the evening all that was left to do was to attach the ammo boxes to the right knee and the finishing strips to the back of the thighs. Steve Gaza took plenty of pictures to post. We made sure that it was up to FISD Standards for EIB.
  17. Paypal sent! Hello fellow troopers! I will be helping with this build when the armor arrives. I cant wait to work on this! I will build the strapping system as well as the snaps and help with the cutting and sanding of parts to fit.
  18. I have volunteered to work on the armor as well. I will Paypal later when I get a chance.
  19. I was there for the group photo and FISD EIB photo.
  20. Matt, We already placed two snaps on the butt plate. Just pull the strap to the second snap that is higher.
  21. I just wanted to add that I trooped in my FX Armor and Rt-Mods Hero helmet since 1998 when it didn't matter how accurate the armor was by Legion standards. Over the years I started to see much more accurate armor but wanted a set that was shiny ABS like my FX and just as durable. My FX is still shiny white and all I ever used on it was Novus 2 and 1in that order. I wanted an accurate set of armor and it wasn't until I found out that ATA ARMOR was coming out in durable shiny ABS that I decided to make the plunge and build the suit to FISD Standards since I was going to build it right out of the box. All I have to do now is fix a couple of things for Centurion and I am proud to say that I can stand now amongst the ranks of the FISD with pride! I think the problem with the older folk in the Legion like myself is that they don't want to put the work in to fix their older armor to bring it up to at least EIB Status. Since I am not afraid of the hard work, take my 501ST Clone for example, it was a no brainer for me! I will tell you that now that members of our Garrison( The Midwest Garrison) see how great the accurate armor looks it is motivating our members to start building new armor and bring it up to FISD standards. I need to mention Steve Gaza who really motivated many of us in the Garrison with his how to build armor that he made step by step with photos and text! I have heard people call the FISD " Armor Natzies" in the past and I only thought of the FISD as "EXCELLENCE" in Armor. Hence my FX Armor is now RETIRED in its original black plastic foot locker. CENTURION HERE I COME! Thanks to the FISD for the motivation!
  22. I'm going to shorten the clips and change the black elastic to white when I get home.
