    I bought both Dritz and Tandy snaps. I notice that the pin in the middle is longer on the Tandy then the Dritz. Not sure if that makes a big difference or not. Going to look for the 24p and some vinyl tonight

    I think that is where i went wrong, I didnt buy the 24p snap pliers. Thanks for the info guys

    which one did you get? I bought one but for some reason it doesnt work with the Tandy snaps.

    I will try and take a pic tonight. What happends is the 2 parts dont line up just right. Snaps have got to be the hardest part so far of my armor build. These Tandy snaps are tough. They hold together really tight. Hope to pick up some vinyl soon so I can make the snap plates. The left over plastic for the strips are not big enough.

    Yeah its the pin that came with them. Really have to becareful hammering it. To hard and they come out sideways.

    What kind of tools are you guys using for snaps? I bought Tandy snaps and the hammer and pin method does not work all that great. Is there a recommend tool here in the States that I can buy? I am thinking of using vinyl for the snap plates, is there a recommend size? Thanks guys

    Right on Love this place Is this how is should be done? Are you using all elastic here?

    So the left side is just reg rivites and elastic on the inside right? The right side is showing one snap on the out side and the other is in the inside. Are they a speical type of rivite?

    Right on interesting to see the different tints of the white paints. Great stuff Kevin. I really like how the legs look being painted after they are built. Going to have to do that on my next build

    You use the Novis Polish? I thought that was for plastic. Does it come out pretty good? On the Fusion paint, Does the cracking happen when you use the testor paints for the details? I used Rustoleum on the armor I am working on right now. Almost has a grey tint it. You said the Kyrlon has a yellow tint to it. Do you know if the Fusion is more of a milky white.

    Picked up some snaps today. These are the left over strips I am going to use for the snaps. Is its ok to use the left over strips for the snaps? Here is one I tested

    Here is a little update. Almost there. Next up is figuring out how to snap this up. Helmet in the picture is a GF.

    What about the paint is off? Does it have a grey tint to it? Is this the indoor outdoor paint?

    I think the top one was Testors Ford GM light blue, to the left is Testors Ford GM blue, then Testors reg blue and Testors dark blue. I went with the Ford GM light blue. I will get some more pics of that later on.

    Ok, I have been slowly working on this. So close but still far away This glue rocks Started glueing the strips on. Got the arms done, almost done with the legs. Once I got them glued I taped them up to hold it in place. I was just messing around with some different blue paints on a ear I messed up on.
