  1. There were several who had bought the Anovos TK at 350 and are willing now to pass the armour on. Look here, there are some threads about this: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/11-for-sale-or-trade-personal-items/
  2. You have linked this very thread. I think this is the thread you're looking for: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30975-pouch-and-pauldron-setup/
  3. TK 10241 reporting for duty http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=17513
  4. Usually you can also sit down without the abdomen and codpiece separated. It is not screen accurate to do either. But you may do it for convenience, although I never needed this mod to be able to use a toilett.
  5. You could ask Paul (Troopermaster) if he has currently a run on detonators. You can ask for crisp or worn, just as you like.
  6. I'm with Dday on this one. There is absolutely no need for inner strips, not even if you are so skinny it would not reduce the inner circumference of the shin too much for you to wear. All you need is one outer strip, butt joint the pieces, E6000 and there you go.
  7. Omg, why are his shoulderbells hanging way down? That's what you get for rushing the job! At least they give good advice to come here for information on how to build a tk-armour.
  8. http://www.starwarshelmets.com/ here you get all the info on all the helmets. But if you look in the http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/thread, you will see the differences in general for the different makers. I think AP is making a comparatively small bucket.
  9. Your link is not working. Take a look at my avatar, this is a whole lot of work, but you can do it. There are several threads how to mod the efx=MR/CE (this is one and the same helmet). There are several people who dislike the symmetrical, idealised form of the bucket and it is definitely not screen accurate. If you go for a screen accurate look, then this helmet is not for you. But there are also several people who think this is how the TK helmet should look as is to be expected by a theoretically mass produced army issue helmet. In the end it is up to you and your GMO, and the costume reference guidelines. Unfortunately you will find there is no definite rule what modifications on this helmet are a must have and what not. P.S. I did not see you actually started this same thread twice...
  10. You are aware that "replicating the crap that they used a long time ago" is the reason why most of us are here? That is one of the most precise descriptions of building TK armour I've ever read.
  11. The Holster looks nice to me. Any information about extra material for use as cover strips?
  12. I did not intend to go for EIB so far, but of course had it in mind as an option for later. Thx Coastertk for cheering me up and especially for those pics. Although I already had the whole paste experience with the back of my thighs, this is really encouraging. So much more positiv than just getting told to have to do this no matter what.
  13. So, since I'm not exactly the same size as the TK-actors back in the 70ies, I'd like to ask if a gap between ab and kidneyplate is acceptable for minimum requirements. If so, what would be the tolerable gap limit? I have been led to believe that a gap about 4cm wide would be acceptable (I have to admit mine is wider at the moment) for minimum requirements but have been told recently that absolutely no gap is allowed. Could someone please clear this up for me, as I seem unable to find an adequate passage in the requirements?
  14. I'm with Cristonamo on this one. Compared to the sniperplate or the shoulderbridge, which have really crisp details, the faceplate is not even near that sharp but mollied lines without much detail.
  15. These buckets insult my eyes...
  16. Remember, though, you have to specify which sort of TK you intend to represent. There is no option for a 'general' or 'generic' TK. Everything else is up to your GMO.
  17. To be honest I prefer the original version of this song, although this has a more modern touch to it.
  18. We also see some black pauldrons in the season final of the Rebels series, which is according to Disney/Lucasfilms canon. When Tarkin's Star Destroyer is defenceless, TKs with black pauldrons board to repell the rebel insurgents.
  19. Don't forget customs fee in your calculation. It won't stay at 350$ + shipping... at least for those overseas.
  20. Though it may look as if you would save some effort, you would have to invest much more to make an MR or EFX up to the standards (although these standards are still not entirely formulated). In the end a helmet kit or preassembled bucket will be much less effort and more easily approved.
  21. Good point! That is what I'm always thinking about when I see all those kits out there. You never see the extra ABS needed to make the coverstrips. Luckily I was blessed with enough material with my armour.
  22. This really sounds almost too good to be true, still I had to order one kit anyway...
  23. Well for me it is definitely this tune: Ted Nugent - Stormtroopin' "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjXmiog0m88" I even thought this would be a great intro for going 'on stage'.
  24. He got it dirt cheap with a complete set of armour, probably to the same quality standard as the helmet from an aquaintance of his. That would explain much (Don Post resemblance/vague detaols, etc.), and is not unlikely at all. Did Movie FX form their old buckets by taking the form directly off of the statue?
