Wow! thanks guys, all this is already very helpfull I was planning to separate the kidney and butt and also the abs and cod piece for better movement and perhaps being able to sit hehe

Hi there, I have a few questions and was wondering if some of you TK gurus could help and perhaps post some pictures. 1: Do you cut the butt and crotch plates both for movement? if so where? and how do you re-attach? 2: how do you guys add white plates in the sides to avoid the black openings? 3: I am going ANH style, is the black plastic strap around the bicep a requirement? For the girl troopers... How do you deal wth hips etc? I have chunky legs/hips <_< and need to shim the back, but when you open up the right thigh some in the back it starts to bend inward in a weird way above the knee up front. Do I use a heatgun to curve it out some?

Hi guys, I am off this week and am planning to glue my FX kit together. My question is... What is the best order to do this? I figure, arms and biceps can be done when ever but what about the rest? I know on my clone I started with the butt/abs/back to make the chest fit over it nicely but is that really needed for the TK? since it is kind of open on the sides. Any advice is welcome Also for us female troopers. How do we go by camouflaging the hips? I was thinking about making the abs a bit wider by adding foam since I am the typical pear shape hour glass figure lol. I am not worried about the top but the legs and hips... brrr lol I probably need shims to make the calves and thighs fit.

Meh! I ordered the caboots ones in a size 10 so they will probably be too big for me lol. DrScholls gellings and big socks I guess will do the trick.

Thanks everyone! I have already been doing a lot of reading on the how to's and what not to do's lol. I watched the youtube videos which are very helpfull and I feel quite confident in building this suit. I would love to go for the elite standards but I dunno yet. I figure I put the armor together first and then go for all the ANH details. It is awesome to see all the pictures in the elite forums too. I decided to start with the upper part first and leave the hardest for last. I have chunky legs so that will be a challenging part too. I definitely need some shims...or loose about 30 lbs haha.

I received my FX lite last week and whoaaa it is so cool!! I am touching the armor parts, smelled them, held them together to see how it looks and I tell ya.. I can't wait to start on this project!! It will be tricky since I am female... but, I managed to do it with my Captain Rex clone so this should work too. Here is a pic of my current Rex phase 1 test fit: Some minor finished to do and waiting on the pauldron but I can say 95% finished! On to the Storm Trooper, I want to do the ANH version since my fiancee is doing his vader ANH style so we will make a good match. I still don't really know what the specifics are of the ANH besides the way the buttons look. I have the ANH CE replica helmet that I still need to mod as well. I am 5'9 and around 200 lbs but still loosing weight slowly so I should be able to do this. I will post progress pictures here since I will slowly start putting this awesome suit together. Keep checking back cuz I will need lots of advice haha

I been trying to find some good non stop ambient CD's. Any suggestions out there? I need it for relaxation and sleep therapy. I have bad insomnia and I found out that this type of music really calms my mind.

I love Disturbed! I even have their evil smiley tattood on my arm and.... I actually do some work for them I have seen them many.... many times and even hung out several times with the guys. I been watching the kit from troopersupplies on the bay and I am just wondering how the sizes of the white armors are. Since I am a girl I have larger calves/hips/legs then most guys and I simply don't like the open crack on the back of the legs/calves so I do want it to be able to close. Maybe a pet peeve from my seemless clone lol. What armor should I get that fits a big larger ? Thanks for any advice

My fiancee is a bigger Star Wars and costuming nut then I am! He loves the fact that I have 3 awesome costumes and he recently joined the 501st as a Tie Pilot and wants to do a clone next He just wants me to do a female costume too since all I have are guy suits and he doesn't like the fact that everyone calls me dude, bro, or goes hey man! lol, especially when he is spotting me. Serious though, I can't just walk around our room without bumping into figures, little blasters, lego ships etc and it is all his stuff, mine is still in a huge storage... Imagine if we get our own house! lolol! I am so happy I found this guy!!
