Alright, I was going to post this on Flagship Eclipse but that would require making a new user and its a bit tricky to do that from my phone. If this is the wrong place to ask let me know and I'll delete it. So i was looking for a place to get lightsaber hilts for my brother, the only problem is i don't want to break the bank. Seems like everything out there is either cheaply made or over $300. That is when i stumbled across this guy on Esty.com: http://www.etsy.com/listing/108963266/star-wars-the-force-unleashed-starkiller?ref=shop_home_active_4 . I have heard a few good things from others around on other forums, but i wanted to ask the experts. Has anyone ever bought from Holocron? Does he do good work with his sabers? Also, where did you get your saber from?

This is great! I understand why you liked the tear vent lines. They look really cool the "claw" way. Not cannon but would look cool on something like a deathtrooper or something your not trying to gain approval with. Good luck with getting in!!!

Hey fellow troopers. It has been a long time since I have posted, wont lie. I have been occupied with my non-star wars costumes. In the meantime i have been keeping an eye on all the topics here and i have a question. I am very nervous to put all of my money into a Stormtrooper project and thought i could start a bit smaller to make sure im up for this. I was wondering if i could invest into a helmet kit and attempt putting one together. This way i can spend less money than buying an entire suit and get a hang of building trooper armor. In the end if it turns out now for me when i am finished, i won't be broke, but if i like it i can buy a suit. i know the different types of armor at this point and kits, but helmet kits is a foreign subject to me. So if you guys have any recommendations of helmet kits I'd love to hear them. Any movie, and type of plastic. As long as its in a reasonable price. Thank you for all your help and if I'm saying anything stupid and incorrect let me now guys. Still a bit new. -Bob

Hey guys. ive beeen getting into mask sculpting and have prior (but minor) sculpting exprince. I find it fun to do in my free time and i thought, mine as well do a mask i like and if it comes out good ill make a mold. Only problem is Ive never done a mask. I have sculpted heads, but only around small bust size. I was wondering if you guys had some suggestions on materials. Money is short, but not a huge issue. Im intrested in: -Where to find a good armature for my masks. (id rather not make a life cast.) -What clay do you guys use. I like the harder stuff personaly and im more exprinced in air dry clays but still have exprince in modeling clay. -What mold materials do you use and can i get them localy or do i have to order online? -What type of latex/ or resin would you use for a mask and which would be better, both on price and quality. And anyone who has tips, no matter how minor, I'd love to read them. I'll add a picture of what I'll be attempting to sculpt.

I cant help you with your qestions (ive havent made my helmet yet) but i agree, the brow seems way to low.

Hey brain nuke! I have not built armor myself so i may not be a great source. I have looked at other pieces of these fourms and they eye in your pictures is something i see all the time. If a more expirnced member tells you to cut it, go ahead. Otherwise, its something i always see. I think its just the way the helmets are sculpted. The Helmet looks great to me, great pull. i love it haha. the teeth may want to be cut a bit more but make sure you do not cut to much. Dont want to loose that nice depth look. As for Hovi's i cant help you. sorry. Hope i've helpped a bit. Good luck and keep us updated on your build buddy. Bob

Hey FISD, i have been making quite a bit of non-stormtrooper posts, and for that i do apologize to you guys. All in all they have been about star wars armor so i think im okay. I was just wondering if someone could point me into the right direction for Darth Vader armor. I have a darth vader costume and the only part of it that needs touching up is the shins and the shoulders. If anyone could show me to where i could learn more about Vader armor thatd be great . I checked the sith lord garrison page but i think its down or under going changes.

Hey guys. I though itd be fun to post some pictures or links of your or anybosdy elses armor that you've seen thats odd. Anything star wars. Stormtroopers get double points. well you could always post as many pictures you can on your first post and then comment on your own post, thus staying in the same thread. Itss show up just like my comment shows up hear. Just post your pictures, scroll down and look for the reply box and post more pictures. thats what most do, or at least most of what i've seen people do. It will also allow for you to walk away and go take more pictures and then post more later. Cant wait to see your helmet. Ive only been on these fourms for a copel months so i apologize if im being unhelpful. Thanks for the tip. Good thing you said something because i have a few red cups in my work space that use (i cut them up and use them for other projects). if it was infront of me when i needed a cup it could have ended badly. Ill spread the word. thanks again

personaly i just add a attachment file to my post. This means that user have to click onto the link though which kinda stinks . I dont use photobucket because i come to threads that i really want to see but instead i only find "*PHOTOBUCKET ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DELETED*" where the pictures should be. if you have already posted your pictures some other fourm or website you can click the picture button when your writing a post (on the lower row, says image when you scroll over it.) That will put it streight into your post. sorry if this isnt what you ment or didnt help. just though i could say something since you've helpped me in the past haha. use newbies have to stick together.

the jedi hooded robe is not what i ment by vest in the my first picture. The black "V" tunic is the wrong costume. Im looking for the vest that has the flap. the jacket looks like its made like this jacket: (this is the jacket from doctor horrible for all those sing along blog fans out there) The picture i posted of luke in jabbas makes me think that he is wearing this jacket with the "V" tunic underneath.
