  1. Oh, no... I totally get that! I've just been putting so much time into this thing that I think maybe I should step back for a bit before I go making all sorts of adjustments and what not. I really like the way it fits now and with the butt pillow I think it'll look just fine Hopefully trooping this weekend. I'll have a garrison mate take some better pictures!
  2. Well I guess I shouldn't have applied for EIB before I found my butt pillow! I found it! That will help with the lower butt plate flaring out. A few things about the great comments (thanks guys!): the problem with my back to kidney plate area is that I cut my ATA wrong and effectively turned it into FX (no return edge), oops! And as for the bicep being rotated that was just a wardrobe malfunction! Another oops! I can't make the straps on my thighs longer... they were longer before and I was told to shorten them in order to be approved for 501st. Not sure what do there. Maybe I won't get EIB... I was really just getting it because I thought I was "there". edit: I might also mention that my torso is pretty long. Maybe I just don't have the right body type for a Stormtrooper Thanks for all the input, it really is appreciated (even though I might seem sour, I swear I'm not!!)
  3. Thank you! I'm still figuring out exactly how to wear it but my first two troops have gone really well! A few things I know I need to do: connect the biceps to the shoulders so they don't rotate or fall down, and put some black padding in the top of my butt plate because my bubble butt pushes it into my kidneys and it looks a little off. I have a pillow for that but can't seem to find it... >_<
  4. Another reply! I looked through a few other EIB accepted threads and saw that was mentioned for troopers also applying for centurion. Maybe when the time comes... heh!
  5. Ah. I think the left side round piece need re-gluing. Thanks for the heads up!
  6. Armor= ATA Helmet= ATA Blaster= Hasbro w/ resin kit (maker unknown) Height = 5'11" Weight = 200lbs Boots = 11 TKBoots Canvas belt = TK4205 Hand Plates = ATA Electronics= TK6818 - 1 squirrel fan, switch and battery boxes Neck Seal = Homemade Holster = TK9356 My apologies for the less-than-perfect photos. My girlfriend is notorious for taking horrible shots Oops! I forgot my thermal detonator. It's pictured below!
  7. Maybe it looks worse in-person but it doesnt look too bad in the picture, Ingrid!
  8. I've heard from more than one trooper that Zippo lighter fluid is good for cleaning ABS and is also healthy for the plastic. Maybe someone more experienced can tell you more about it...
  9. I guess this video pops up quite a bit. Here's something that might help you understand why everyone around here hates him: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=13614&hl=ainsworth&fromsearch=1 Also google Lucas vs Ainsworth!
  10. I've heard people use the rubber spray stuff, truck bed liner spray, rattle can, etc. I guess a lot of people do it so when kids look up in all the see is black
  11. I don't think it MUST be but it definitely helped me. I used sew-able velcro on the belt and then industrial strength sticky velcro on the armor... hope that helps!
  12. I wouldn't try to troop with a stirling, though. They're too heavy for trooping!
  13. This is the only 501st requirement for ANH stunt: " Black with horizontal ribs, fitted to the wearer, and extending from the base of the neck to the top of the Adam's apple. " As long as it looks screen accurate you shouldn't have any issues!
  14. I live in the US but bought my undersuit from:---------- It has a double zipper so you can pee easily Doopydoos is based in the UK so it's a lot cheaper for you than for me: -------- And I had my own neckseal made so you're on your own for that
  15. Get Devcon Plastic Weld. If you want to take it off you'll have to use a dremel
  16. Yikes. With the insane prices they charge for... everything... you'd think they would have some nice stuff in there
  17. Just keep in mind that you don't have to really press hard. If it makes it easier for you, you can trace where you want to score with a pencil, lightly score with the razor and then go over that little "track" again. You might need to pick up some pliers for the smaller areas but it works real well.
  18. I'll second the razor for scoring and snapping. There are a few parts that I wouldn't use it on but as long as you mark where you need to cut first you shouldn't mess up your armor at all. Just keep in mind that if you do hard angles and don't sand them down you might create a weak spot in the armor that may being to crack! e: otherwise just use something called Lexan scissors. If you can't find any locally I can send you mine!
  19. Hey Terrell how's this progressing?
  20. Yeah they are screen accurate / bumpy. Though pictures would be nice
  21. Oh, thanks Todd! Nice to see another 66 ID #
  22. I made the apropriate adjustments and was accepted into the 501st Legion! Wooh! I am now officially TK4665
