  1. Lookin good! Great work
  2. 1) I can't remember a time when I wasn't a fan. My brother got me watching the films when I was little. I don't remember seeing them for the first time, but I know I was completely obsessed by the time I was 5 2) Spaceships.. space battles, AT-ATs, Stormtroopers, and all the monsters and aliens. Loved em! 3) I always wanted to be a Stormtrooper when I was little. When heard about 501st for the first time on the internet I started wanting to get into it. Seeing all the costumers at Celebration Europe sealed the deal and here I am! 4) I know I'd never have gotten into the costuming side of things if it wasn't for the internet. I wouldn't have known where to start if it wasn't for sites like these and all the awesome people sharing their advice. And it's great being able to talk about all things SW with like-minded fans
  3. Here's the book on Amazon.co.uk: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Death-Star-Random-...6514&sr=1-1 And my armour is all finished
  4. I got it a little while ago. It was enjoyable enough - always nice to read a book that focuses more on the Imperial side of things. I know I couldn't put it down in fact, I might go give it another read!
  5. Looks good! It fits you well As for the straps, cross them over?
  6. It definitely did the Splinter Cell series is one reason I'm getting into game design. Good stuff
  7. I love you. Seriously. Splinter Cell and Chaos theory are 2 of my favourite games <3 As for me - I'm a full time student. Doing 3d Design (read: interior design with google sketchup thrown in for kicks) right now, but that'll be out of the way soon thank god and I'm hopefully going onto a course in Computer Game Art at Uni
  8. Don't give up, a few more mods and you'll be looking great Do you think if you anchored the chestplate down - attach it to the ab-plate with elastic perhaps? - that would stop the riding up? It looks as if all it needs is pulling down a little. As for the thighs, I can't tell what you've done exactly from the photos because there's none of the back of them, but I got rid of the barrel look on my thighs by making them more conical, so they're still big at the top but smaller towards the bottom. It looks like you should be able to do that? Also, you're in Seattle? Cool I'm going there in December for a week or so. I have one days worth of stuff planned, other than that, I've no idea what Seattle has to offer edit: just seen your latest post. Maybe my thigh advice isn't so useful after all. I can't say I'm an expert at this kind of thing wish I could be of more help
  9. I did the same thing on one edge of my thigh.. I've been meaning to try polish it.

Jeez I don't know what i'd do all day at college if they started blocking forums and youtube. It's not that I don't do the work, I just need something to counter the crushing boredom!
  14. I can't wait to see this done Wish I dared to do the same with mine
  15. I think they're called "portwest" or "superior" kneepads
  16. I need to attach my holster behind my belt and get an ANH style blaster, then I think I'm sorted for Elite. I'll be doing the holster once I get my rivet gun back from my friend, and I'll get the blaster sorted soon

If work blocks proxy sites too, there's also a way of setting up your home PC to act as a proxy. I can't say I've ever had to do that but I'm sure a quick google will give you all the info you need
  23. Looks great Not sure I dare do this to my MR just yet but I'll keep it in mind for the next time I feel the need to fiddle with it
