  1. Add me on the list please ! Thank ya kindly Michelle
  2. Actually, I call myself "Schoolgirl Trooper" at Cons since I experienced 12 years of Catholic school and thought I should at least have some fun I do know a few of the Kilted trooper fellas though.
  3. Sadly, I have yet to officially join the 501st Mainly due to health reasons and the fact that my armor is a couple of thousand miles away atm waiting to be picked up. But anyway, here I am at the last DragonCon in Atlanta with part of my TK suit and one with my main Bounty Hunter :fett2:
  4. A friend of mine came up with attaching white vinyl upholstery or faux leather fabric on the inside of my FX calves with velcro. About an inch is all that can be seen from behind, but it looks like you may need more fabric for your calves. Not sure if you can add ABS plastic pieces to "shim" them without looking too obvious. Hope you find an answer
  5. Thanks for the feedback fellas . Smitty - I'll bring everything I have, bucket included . Hopefully wookiee-man and I will make the treck to see you on Saturday. Will touch base next week.
  6. I have the following and need a bit of help: Radio Shack Mini amp
  7. Since I am also working on black TX armor, I am registered on the 501st Special Ops Detachment forum Special Ops Det Here is one link to decent priced TX boots --------
  8. Last year at the Atlanta International Airport, I explained to the TSA agents at the xray line that my bucket was Star Wars costume armor. The TSA agents told me in the future to remove 9- volt batteries and disconnect any wires to voice boxes, amps etc. As far as the E-11 blaster, a few of my 501st buddies suggested having it shipped to my destination to save on any hassle with security agents. Just remember that most airlines are now charging for checking in a 2nd bag Michelle TKEastbay
  9. Since I am new to the FISD and not yet in the 501st, I brought this topic back into circulation. Can anyone recommend a good travel luggage/container to transport TK armor for airline travel? I have been hand-carrying my helmet so I'm looking for luggage that is acceptable size by TSA standards etc. The posts here are a little older, so I wanted to see if anyone has anything recent. Lemme know TK's =) Michelle
  10. I have long hair too! I had so much trouble keeping my hair within a hair net and inside my Stormtrooper bucket. My buddy TK 9609 from the Georgia Garrison gave me a "hair-saver" - a face mask/hoodie called a Balaclava. Kangol makes a nice one with a larger face opening. Check it out! Michelle
